Hi everyone,
Been reading awhile, first time posting. I recently picked up my first handgun, a used sig p225 from Gander Mtn. I picked it up on Friday, got about 300 rounds through it and on Sunday broke what I believe is the trigger bar spring (the spring that pushes the trigger back in place).
I took it back to Gander to be told it'd be 6-8 weeks turn around, and I obviously am upset to say the least. I see parts kits for $25 from online retailers...so I was wondering if there are any write-ups or diagrams available online so I can just get my pistol back and fix it myself. I know next to nothing about how handguns are put together but I am pretty mechanically inclined and think I should be able to handle it...unless I am missing something.
Also as a side question...what grip options are available for the p225? I see plenty for other sig models, will work with the slimmer single stack grip as well?
Thanks all for your help, and the wealth of knowledge provided.
