The Sig P250 subcompact has just caught my eye. Lots of folks on here saying its the fairest of them all when it comes to value these days. Does anyone have pics of it (subcompact) next to Glocks or Kahrs or J-frames or maybe Kel-tecs?

standby for the trigger pull length naysayers. then again, how fast does one have to pull a trigger anyway? get it. I never even pull my 229 out anymore. the 250 goes with me everywhere. even fits in my front pocket when needed...plus 13 rounds. how can you go wrong?

I really wanted to get one and tried to like it, but couldn't deal with the trigger. I don't know why it couldn't have a DA/SA like my other SIG's.

I have one in 357 sig with a 40 S&W barrel extra. For me anyway the gun has a very natural point of aim. It also is very accurate, yes it has a long trigger with a long reset but as it has been said in a self defense situation just how many rounds are you going to send down range. For me the trigger is a safety feature that keeps you from a stress discharge that might not go where you intend, in a parking lot or even on a street that might be a problem. I also like the design, the ability to have a hammer as opposed to a striker gives you the ability to second chance a round that might not have fired on the first squeeze.

the whole reset trigger issue is a non issue for me. Think about it, except for the VERY highly trained, does one really think they are going to utilize a SRT in a high stress situation? Doubt it. I'd bet my left nut one's brain automatically tells the finger to MAKE SURE the trigger is fully released before taking a follow up shot. Even worse, in a panic situation there very well may the the situation that somone relies on an SRT and doesn't even release it far enough causing a FTF situation and then have to regroup and then release the trigger all the way. Of course, I can only speak for myself as that may very well how my brain will operate in a 'white-out' situation. Of course, I don't have the time and certaintly the money to spend countless hours at the range.

I'm amazed that people can shoot a DA revolver revolver fast enough for defensive purposes, but somehow a Sig 250 has "too long a reset" to be considered for serious use.

If you can't get .25 (1/4 second) splits (time between shots) with a DA trigger, including the Sig 250, then you need more practice.

I find that I can shoot my 250s as fast as I can accurately shoot them. Fast enough. In fact, with bringing the sights back down onto the target, it's just about perfect.

I've never shot one before but I've tried the trigger. I prefer Revolvers or DAO semi autos.

As a guy who still puts several thousand rounds of .38 and .357 down range every year...I kinda like the DAO trigger pull of the P250.

I like mine, a .40SC. I picked it because it is small, but thick. Flatter guns are much easier to carry but simply do not fit my hands.

I also like the trigger, but I can understand why others do not. IMO, a long, light pull is appropriate for this sort of gun.

In general, the .40 will slightly exceed .357 ballistics in barrels 3 inches or less. So it's basically comparable to a .357 DAO snub, but with 5 more rounds.

I really wanted to get one and tried to like it, but couldn't deal with the trigger. I don't know why it couldn't have a DA/SA like my other SIG's.
All my other pistols are DA/SA or QA ( Glock, Walther) so wanting to learn to shoot a DAO pistol is not on my wish list.
Iv'e shot a Sig Pro 2022 in DAO and didn't like it at all.

CPO, thanks - that's the info I needed. Even before looking at the link, hearing that it is bigger than it looks tells me what I need to know

Dr 2 B: the p250sc is larger than my Kahr PM9 and MK9 by quite a bit and just a little larger than my Glock 26 but IT IS JUST AS CONCEALABLE as any of these three guns. The 250's trigger is also quite like the Kahrs. Please don't blow it off based on my earlier post alone; go handle one and shoot it if you can. A good gun at a great price.

Yeah you're right. But the truth is the gun I really want is the PM9. I think I'll wait and get one of those when the time's right rather than compromise on something that happens to be a great deal right now.

Thanks for the info.
