Would it be better to buy the subcompact or the kit to swap out the trigger pack?

I picked up a P320 compact for my wife but it's still a little big for her hands. Looking at the options for her, she wants the grip a little smaller.

Any other options?

Thanks for the info, I see that the P365 is also for sale now in CA.

It might be hard to find a Subcompact, unless it's new-old stock, since it has been discontinued.
I just checked Gun Broker. P320 Subcompact grip modules are available. And they can be purchased on a nationwide basis, with no FFL involvement, since they are just a part. Then you can swap in the FCU from any other P320. The FCUs are available, by themselves, but for those you need an FFL.

There was an interesting listing for a kit, in 9 mm, that included everything for a Subcompact, except for the FCU. Again, no FFL required.

I have a subcompact gripframe in my SIG stash. IIRC, all the gripframes are available in a variety of sizes; getting a compact in size 'S' might be a better solution.

When my wife bought a compact P320 several years ago, we sent ordered a sub-compact frame - ours came with a small rail on the bottom of the dust cover - and it fits her hand well. She can shoot it fine with either frame, but it generally has the sub frame. It conceals better too for her. The rail is short enough that it doesn't hold some attachments like most weapon lights but it does hold a small compact laser.

Thanks for all the replies.

Now the wife says that she also wants a .22.

😂 🙈
