I have a (bought used) SIG 239 (a wonderful gun) with a single "x" stamped at the halfway point on the right side of the slide. I haven't seen this before on a SIG. I seem to recall at least one brand that is stamped with an X when the gun has been returned for repair. Is this what I'm seeing on my SIG? It would seem a strange place to put such a stamp.
