I bought the Sigma S9VE before learning of all those unhappy with it. It took about 10 boxes and it was boken in I guess and it started shooting reliably. Funny thing is you can load the 16-round mag with 15 (that's what I load) and one in the barrel and it does not jam (ftf) but load the same mag with 10 rounds and you'll begin to get them. In other words the magazine appears to have a memory. For example I would think that after shooting 3 rounds out of a 10 round loading I would be in the same position as having shot 8 rounds from a 15 round loading. However something else is occuring here. I don't really have a question but I thought this was unique.

Did you purchase the gun used? I can't speak for the 9mm, however I have shot a friends' .40 Sigma. Other than the craptastic trigger, it had no issues feeding ammo. Perhaps the mag spring is worn? Do you have a spare mag to try?

My Sigma was horrible with Monarch ammo. Still is. Everything else, including my handloads cycle flawlessly. One magazine of Monarchs will give 3-4 fte every time.

No I bought it new. And I stuck with one mag to achieve this phenomenon but when using the other mag I got many jams. Then I used a 10-round mag and it was even worse. I do intend to get a Glock.

One has to feel sympathy for anyone who lays down perfectly good money for a Stigma.

:(

:uhoh: I kind of might have one too. :uhoh:

It has not given me any problems, except when people find out I am shooting a POS. Then it becomes a problem. The looks, fellow shooter's moving away from me at the range, friends not returning calls, my wife sleeping with my brother. (OK, that might not be because of the Sigma) I thought about selling it, but what message would that send... that I care what other's think? So I just sneak out at night and shoot it in the dark so nobody knows but me and the moon (And that guy I keep seeing in the bushes with binoculars & his pants down :what:).

Bought four of them and all run perfectly.

And at no cost to me, S&W improved the triggers and even paid shipping.

Best $250 hi-cap semi's I've ever owned.:neener:

Sigma Guy too!!

I hate to add fuel to this fire, but I bought a Sigma 9mm also. The first time at the range I shot about 100 rds. Not a single failure but I thought it was the biggest POS in the world. Just a long trigger pull and felt kind a like a toy. So I also bought a Ruger P-95. Had three FTF in the first mag after that no failures.

So I went back to the Sigma, Another 100 rds. ZERO failures. Trigger is still long but getting smoother and lighter. Found out I was limp wristing it and it pulled to the left a tad. So did the Ruger. Yeah, it was me.

Changed ammo, shot the MFS stuff, Sellier & Bellott, a bunch of reloads and UMC. Again, not a single failure. HMM, Maybe I don't hate this gun. Since I figured out how to hold it my accuracy has been spot on.(I've been a revolver guy forever and my normal range is 7 to 20 yrds.)

I don't know what to do?? Shooting a Sigma is like dating ugly women. It's fun until your friends find out.

If it is doing it with both magazines it might be something else but have you tried cleaning your magazines? I don't have any experience with Smith & Wesson or Sigma but if I couldn't figure it out I would contact S & W & give them an opportunity to fix the gun.

You shot 500 rounds through the gun using 2 (or ONE) mag(s)... Did you clean & oil the gun AND (VERY VERY lightly oil) the mag(s)? It sounds like some crude got into the mags and is binding at a certain spot. BTW, the 10 rounders are horrible.

$250's a pretty good price with that $50 rebate

That's a good enough value to me for a high-cap semi w/lifetime warranty.

Anybody slaming a current Sigma and suggesting a Glock must not Know how similar they are!! Or maybe a bit of snobdom. How dare you guys get a reliable pistol for a low price, do you not know you are supposed to pay twice as much for a similar pistol with worse ergos!! LOL!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

there are a lot of shy Stigma owners out there.

I'm not concerned with the reliability of my wife's, so far seems to hate PMC (FTF every 3rd round) , but it's only 300 rounds in. Blazer feeds flawlessly. DPX too ... Time to order some cheaper HD ammo for her to practice in volume with.

God... the trigger... Other than that I'm happy to know that her gun fits in my M&P IWB holster if my gun has to go in for service.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:eek::eek::eek:

YOU BOUGHT A BABY KILLING, ARMOR PIERCING, COP MURDERING, MASS KILLING, UGLY GUN!!!!!!!

seriously, It sounds like a dirty mag problem. Pop em open and clean the heck out of them
