Sigma ok for lefties?

I'm looking at the budget friendly Sigma in nine mil and it appears to have a thumb ridge on the grip by the mag release. I've yet to handle one - probably next week if my schedule works out.

Anyone know if a lefty can use it comfortably?

My girlfriend is left handed, and she have no problem using it. and this goes for the 9 and .40

The ridge just keeps your trigger finger from hitting the mag release on accident. You can easily hit it deliberately.

It seems most "thumb ridges" these days are inset instead of protruding, which makes them easier for lefty use. I love it when the ridge is inset as I'm an ambidextrous shooter and practice with both hands.

My friend is left-handed and handles it fine.

By using the middle or trigger finger of your left hand you can actually apply more direct pressure to the button than a right-hander can with his/her thumb. (I am not left handed but have done some experimentation.)
