:confused:I just bought a S&W 40 VE Sigma Series autoloader, which as I'm sure, most of you know has a hard trigger pull... but otherwise, a great gun... Does anyone know of a good gunsmith who can do a trigger job on this gun .. to "lighten the load?"

If you shoot around ~500 rounds through it, the trigger will lighten considerably. I strongly advise against the home concocted trigger lightening on Youtube. Send it back to S&W if the trigger really drives you nuts.

Also, you can adjust your trigger pull by shooting more like a revolver in double-action. Use more of your finger, instead of your finger tip to pull the trigger. Once you get used to it, you'll be hitting the X. :)

I've shoot around 200 rounds through mine and done some dry firing using snap caps and the trigger pull has improved quite a bit. I'm starting to think that it's going to smooth out fine without the need for any modification.

Sigma Trigger Pull Adjustment

Thanks guys, for the info... I will see if putting a few hundred rounds through it makes some difference, as suggested.... So S&W will adjust the trigger pull for free ... That sounds great... if needed....

I feel your pain...a buddy had a S&W Sigma .40 with a measured 14 POUND trigger pull.

He sold it after he saw the weight on the trigger pull gauge :).

Just my .02,
LeonCarr
