I use MS Money to track expenses, bank accounts, credit card charges, etc. While downloading monthly CC transactions, it flagged a charge from MidwayUSA as a "potentially recurring transaction." :scrutiny: I have ten transactions over the past 12 months to Midway, totaling over $1,600. That's just on gun "stuff", not even actual guns (I have not bought any guns, receivers, or uppers from them). The most recent was $440 on bullets (not ammo). I'm so glad I have a C&R, it helps me save money.

Good thing my wife does not handle the finances!!!

You might be a Redneck if you owe Midway every Month more then your House payment. Im not that far yet !!!!!

You might spend too much on guns if...

...your contributions to pro-RKBA organizations are less than 25% of your expeditures on guns and gun-related items.

...you have spent $6000 on guns but your only formal training is a $60 CCW class.

...you have spent more on guns than you have on ammunition to shoot in them.

...you have a nice 1911 that you put down $1200 for two years ago, but you've only shot 1000 rounds through it so far.

Flame away.

Local gunstore sends out mailers about their mega-sale weekends, but calls you personally at your office, via email and on your cell phone.

Your local FFL hears you are going on vacation, and gives you a dozen copies of his paperwork, just in case you find something to ship back, through him!

I'm guilty of a lot of those. I plan to get training by the end of this year. if anyone knows of a good and not outrageously priced instructor in the southern california area, let me know.

I don't understand the premise of this thread.

Somebody help me out here....

You have scientific proof that darkness and dehumidiyfing crystals can cause inanimate objects to reproduce.

You have over 1,000 .32 Win Spec rounds already loaded, you only shoot maybe 100-150 per year and yet you still buy two boxes of once-fired .30-30 to fireform 40 more rounds of .32 Win Spec that you don't need.

Your shop/garage/manroom/reloading area makes Winchester and Remington Ammo Exec's say "Whoa, dude !!!!" as they study your setup to take back to their plants.

You house lists to one side if you don't evenly distribute ammo/reloading supplies.

You walk into a gunshow and get the Cheers "HI NORM !!!" reaction/treatment.

Child Services contacts you about your children possibly being undernourished on the same day that your 5th CMP Garand arrives.

The last gun you bought is worth more than your car.

the bore cleaners and lube is in the medicine chest. you still occasionally find primers on the floor, even though the reloading experiment was 20 years ago. you have 8 or 9 uzi mags but no uzi (it got sold for something better). finding 500 lead round nose .45 bullets in the bottem of a closet. you eat ramen for a month to buy more ammo.
i could go on...

Too much? You guys are all light-weights.... When you have to build another house for weapon storage... and an ammo bunker then you can step up...

You celebrate JMB's birthday by buying a new 1911, but forget your girlfriend's:what:

Your local gun shop gives you a "house account"

You bought a gun for the sole purpose of firing that wrong box of ammo that was bought by accident.

You have parts for the gun you don't own yet.

You often wonder what is so special about "overhead door #5" and why that is the only place that you can pick up stuff from Midway.

You actually have saved money with that thousand dollars worth of reloading equipmet.

i was looking at the moon tonight and my first thought was, I'll bet I could shoot 4x as far, and i wouldn't have to correct for wind.

Your total monthly gun related purchases is more than your monthly 401k contribution.
Your kids are getting Christmas toys from The Dollar Tree this year.

If six moths ago you were a multi-millionare and today you had to apply for food stamps.

How about spending 2 1/2 years of your life and salary so I could
buy an MP5 among other toys. Does that qualify?

Oh well once in a life time.:):(:what::barf::eek::uhoh::cuss::banghead::fire::evil:

You save 22 rim fire cases just because
You have want to a gun shop in the middle of the night when it’s closed and the owner is there and says I have been whiting:D
You’ve been raided by ATF twice:cuss:
When you call a gun shop they know you by the sound of your voice
You get the employee discount because you spend so much time their they think you work their
