The Annoyed Man

1BLINDREF, As I recall, I shot in this order: Federal, Remington, Magtech, Federal, Remington, Magtech, Corbon, Magtech, Federal. One question I have is this. What order did you shoot the ammo in??
Reason I ask is that you stated that its was the first time you shot your 1911 since getting it back from the gunsmith. Did your accuracy improve the longer that you shot? If so, was it the certain ammo that was more accurate, or was it you that became more accurate?
I shot the three best groups at the end, in that order: Magtech, Corbon, Federal; with the Magtech being the best, Federal 2nd best, and Corbon a very close 3rd. I'm sure that the early groups suffered a bit from A) getting accustomed to the pistol; and B) limp wristing a little bit. When I concentrated more on locking my wrists, the groups improved a lot, which would explain why the groups at the end were the best.
The reason I shot so much Federal is that I had purchased more Federals than the others. It goes to show just how prejudiced one can be without even realizing it. I had figured from the get go that the Federals would win, and so I bought more of them so I could get some practice time on them. The Magtechs were something I just happened to have on hand that I hadn't used yet. I don't even remember when or where I bought them. They're the ones in the blue and gold box. Same with the Corbons. I just happened to have some on hand, and I wasn't really expecting much because they gave me such a bad time the first time I took this pistol to the range. I bought the Remingtons just to have something else to try, but I only bought one box of them.
