Yep, sweet deal, o/u mike. Congrats!

I just picked up a blued P232 on Saturday for $499. Even Buds Gun Shop, which often has the best prices on the net, is currently getting $505 (shipped) on the blued one; $700 for the SL with Hogues and night sights.

I'm a very happy new P232 owner!

Well, I just joined the club. I picked up my non-rail P220 Saturday. It's a LEO trade-in w/NS from Bud's for $335 -- I was willing to overlook some holster wear at that price.

I haven't gotten a chance to go to the range yet, and I don't have any pics, but it sure feels like a sweetheart. It's not nearly as big and heavy as I thought it would be. I'm just glad to finally be a member of the SIG club. I already want a 226, 228, 229, and 239. I can see how SIGs tend to multiply...

Took my 1st ever trip to the range this past weekend and shot my Firestorm FS22 and the Sig P6. I really like this gun! It'd be perfect if not for the heavy ass DA trigger. It didn't have any issues feeding the few Federal HP's I brought with me either.

I just joined the Sig group! I just received my 1st 9mm. P226! The slide is marked W Germany. KA date code.
This is quite possibly the smoothest pistol I have ever fired!
After I picked her up I immediatly put 350rds through her....... LOVE this P226!!

Anybody here send their Sig to Grayguns for work?

I've sent a request to finalize some things on my P226ST and to see how far they may be backlogged. The trigger on mine is really bad, and just can't wait a few thousand rounds to see if it gets any better.

gotarheels03-
Try changing to a lighter hammer spring. AK103K did it with his and it made the DA pull much nicer.

DAdams-
Thanks for the heads up. I saw that it was locked this morning and wonder why it would make a difference how long a thread got.
BTW - Nice fridge :what::what:

sloo50-
Welcome - Congrats on picking up a fine gun!
I too have a KA P226 and couldn't agree with you more. It's a sweet and extremely accurate gun. I'm going to shoot it in next weeks IDPA match to see how I do with it.

D-Man-
I've never sent any of mine, but over on the Sig Forum you'll find MANY happy customers. Let us know how she turns out.

Reversing the mag release can be a PITA in a Sig. The P228 I just bought was owned, apparently, by a lefty. That damn stop spring shot all over my kitchen.

Anyway, going to the range with the P228 today. I'd like to see if it shoots as well as my P220..

D-man, I just sent two Sig P226ST's off to Gray Guns. I think they just got them yesterday. I was told it would be three to Five weeks.

I'm having Dawson Fiber optic/Warren Tactical sights put on both and one of them is getting the CRRAP (Carry Reduced Reset Action Package) Done.

"Funny name, serious value! Includes everything from the ACP and incorporates the new Grayguns Reduced Reset Mechanism which reduces the reset travel by 40%, for a reduced reset trigger that's perfect for carry applications."

I'll let ya know how it goes when they come back.

Sig pistols

I've got two Sigs. A Pro 2340 Blue Line (SigLite sights) with both .40 and .357 barrels and a GSR. Both exhibit excellent accuracy and reliability. The 2340 with .40 barrel is the most accurate handgun I own.
Had a problem with the GSR during its first trip to the range. Called SigArms customer service, they faxed me a prepaid shipping label. I sent it off, had it back in less than 10 days - they also did a custom shop trigger job as a courtesy measure because of my "inconvenience" - they had forgotten to put loktite on the firing pin safety plunger retaining spanner screw. The GSR has a tremendously smooth and light trigger at this point. Great GUNS!

9mmepiphany-
:what::what::what: Thats a nice pair for sure - Great score.
I'm planning on going to the range tonight and I wasn't sure what I was going to take. After seeing your post I just decided
P220STs are great shooters and I haven't had mine out in some time.
THANKS!!

they are both CPOs and are in LNIB shape when i got them. they are going off to Grayguns to have their triggers' tuned as soon as our teaching season is over.

maybe we'll meet at one of our classes some time...Penn must have ranges available

Yes - The range that I belong to is very nice.
Let me know when and if you are coming to Southeastern Pa and maybe we can set something up. I'd love to try one of those STs after Bruce does his magic to it.

^ Heck, I'm in NE PA, and if you're able to get a class together, I would make the trip.

$320 for Sig Pro 2009

Hey fellas long time lurker first time poster. I've grown up around guns (Father was policeman), rifles and shotguns and i've recently got it upon myself to enter the world of handgun ownership.
I've been looking for a gun around the 3-400 dollar range. Used of course. I figured for a first gun no need to go overboard. The addiction will take care of that in time.

Today i came across a Sig Pro 2009 in what looked to be good shape ( no visual marks...some slide wear) at a pawn shop. The gun dry fired fine, the mechanics seemed to work fine. The selling price was $340 talked down to $320. Now what bothers me is why this price is so low? Is this going rate for these guns used? I'm not an expert so i could not fieldstrip the gun and check the internals. But from what i could tell it was mechanically sound.
Any advice?

(and yes the gun felt great in my hand)

AxelF-
Welcome to THR and the Sig club.
Thats about what a used Sig Pro goes for. I don't own one but I know there are alot here that do - calling MustangHowie!
That would be a good choice for a first gun, as long as its clean internally. The price is right and 9mm is a good caliber to start out with.
It'll will always be worth that if you decide to sell it down the road.
Good luck!

Post 1000 !!!

I don't know why it was discontinued. I'll try to dio a search over on the SigForum to see if I can get some info about it.

Thanks to all who have contributed to this Club / Thread. :)

It was discontinued and replaced with the 2022 because of the proprietary rail not accepting standard attachments. Did yours come with a manual? If not do not buy one from an auction sight. Call the friendly people at Sig and they will send you one free of charge.( 1-603-772-2302) I have done his with every one that I didn't have a manual, I like to have manuals for every gun. I just called the other day to get 1 for my GSR. It got to my house in 4 working days. Best time to call them is in the morning first thing.

AxelF hope this helps, enjoy the Sig Pro and welcome to the forum.
