I am looking at different scope options. Want, 4x, lit reticle, ranging marks, able to use without batteries if need be, use on M4 and AR10. Since I can't afford a ACOG, I have been looking at others.
I really like the Sigtac CP4. It meets everything I want to do. But at the store, I put their display example on a M4 and I could clearly see the front sight. This is important, because both my M4 and AR10 have a front sight and I do not plan on changing that.
Currently, I have a Nikon P223 3x mounted and all I see is a shadow of the front sight. Looked through a ACOG, more of a shadow, but still a shadow. Through the CP4 though, it is clearly visible and right in the way.
so, anyone here use this scope, what are your thoughts? Did you mount it on a riser to get it above the front sight? did you find it didn't matter that you can see it? How has it been holding up? Any problems?
