I found a shop locally that is not going to carry Ramshot Silhouette anymore so they put it on clearance. $12.99 per pound. I figure I can get at least 3-4 lbs at that price. I would use it for 10mm and 9mm.... Should I grab it?

Titegroup is same price which is what I went there for and got a pound of that for 9mm. I've been using AA#7 for 10mm, but that is closer to 18 bucks per pound.

So anyone use Silhouette for 10mm? (Glock 20C is what I have if it matters). If it is good stuff that saves me 5 bucks per pound on 10mm powder....

Ramshot Silhouette is the same powder that Winchester used to call Winchester Action Pistol (WAP). Any data you find for WAP is good for Silhouette. It will work fine for 10mm, but won't give the highest velocities. Where it really shines is in .38 Super.

If it was me, I'd buy all he had in stock.

Hope this helps.

Great grab! It is the powder that Winchester used for their first commercial loads in .40 S&W. Very much like V-V 3N37, but at a much better price. As you can see from the recommendations for 10mm, .38 Super, 9 X 19mm and .40 S&W, it is a great choice for combat autopistol cartridges. Muzzle flash is about as low as it gets. It will probably help if you consult data other than Ramshot's which tends to be conservative and is identical to what was worked up for Winchester Action Pistol. Lyman P&R III, or the latest Sierra Manual should help.;)
