Silver Bear price check

Spot77 and I stopped at the local Guns R Us today and saw that they had Silver Bear 7.62x39 on sale for $54.00 per case. I usually buy the Wolf for around $80.00 per case......so of course this looks pretty good in comparison.

Fair price?

That seems like a very good price.

I shot up a 1000 rounds of 9mm Silver Bear hollow points and it all went boom. Accurate, relieable and nice price.

My friend shot about 50 rounds of the Silver Bear .45acp and his brand new USP went boom. Be cautious with this ammo, at least Wolf is consistently underpowered. Better than overcharged.

That is a damn good price! Silver Bear at Ozark Armory in Springdale, AR is $109 a case.

No probs with my AK.

Are you sure that it is a 1000 rounds and not 500 rounds. That sounds like a 500 round price a dealer would sell at.

Remember commie ammo for commie guns. Merican' ammo for Merican' guns.

Should be just fine in your average AK, SKS or bolt gun.

What about German guns? I gots dis here P220 that says "Made in Germany."

Well, if you can stick authentic German 8mm into it, go for it. However, I dont think you will find much "Gemacht in Deutschland" ammo.

Mike, if you can put an 8mm Mauser round in a SIG P220 you're a better man than I. At least you will be until you squeeze the trigger.

Silver Bear works great in my AK and my AR.

Personally I will not run any of the Russian Wolf, Sapsan, Silver Bear etc. through my SIGs, ARs or anything but my AKs and SKS.

YMMV but I have seen Wolf and Silver Bear lock up AR15s but good.

The more I tought about it as I drove to work this evening the more I came to believe that this is the 500 round price. This store is consistently overpriced, which is why I guess I was so shocked at what seemed a good deal. Oh, well.....show is next month and the guy that has the Wolf for $80/1000 is always there....and I know the Wolf works fine in the SKS
