Got some 223 brass that am having trouble getting completely resized. You see I run all my cases through a Lyman case gauge and most of it is fine but have some brass that just simply wont resize enough to go through the gauge. They also bind in my AR so I tend to believe the case gauge. It is rubbing on the lower end of the case (near head?) where the die does not get to.
I have tried a different lube (using imperial sizing wax now and love it) and have used Hornady, RCBS Xdie and Redding small base dies and all have the same problem with these problem brass. I have even taken some of these cases and run them through the die about 10 times and it does not seem to make a difference. Again this is only about 10 percent of the total so I know the die are good. Even cleaned them again to double check. It also varies between lake city, win, wcc, fiocchi, bha, even a couple fc and rp.
I was thinking they will get tossed. Any other ideas?
