Hi All:
I shot my new “Ruglin” 1894 .44 Magnum today and I love it! What a hoot, blasting plates and working that slick action. So much fun. Factory Remington 180 SJSP slugs really fly out of that thing, too.
The classic rear buckhorn sight is ok, but I am getting a Skinner express rear sight in the mail today. One factor I overlooked when ordering the sight was the front sight! I am imagining that I will need a taller front sight for this new rear adjustable peep. Has anyone installed this sight, and if so, did you replace the front? What height? Skinner makes many different sight heights so that’s good, but I want to get it right the first time if I can. I was shooting 180’s today but I will usually shoot 240 grain LSWC over about 19-20 grains of 2400.
Thanks!
