SKS pistol grip

I have a Yugo SKS. I want a pistol grip on it, but I don't want a plastic or folding stock to go with it. Is there any way to cut and splice an AK stock with an SKS stock?

I've seen pictures of M1's with aftermarket plastic pistol grips screwed into the stock, somewhat fitted to the standard trigger guard. Maybe you can find something similar to that, or make one up yourself? I bet there's a way to take a regular AK pistolgrip and fit it on if you try.

There actually is a pistol grip specifically made to attach to the SKS stock. I'm not sure where to get one, but I've seen them in Shotgun News.
