Numerous people have stated that the energy of the M-1 Carbine round at 100 yards is roughly equal to that of a .357's muzzle energy.
Most of us realize that the 7.62x39 is a bit more powerful, and is often compared to the 30-30.
Whether that is the exact case or not makes no difference (to me), so for the sake of a general comparison, at about how many yards will the bullet energy from a typical full-length SKS approximate a .357 at the muzzle?
