I have a Norinco SKS. The spring that keeps the safety up or down is broke. Does anyone know where I can buy one? I have looked on the internet, and at 2 gun shows, but no luck.

I am good with tools, etc. I believe and can disassemble the trigger group however it looks fairly complicated. Has anyone else had to do this? Will yugo or russian springs work?

Will welding spring steel ruin it?

I might just take you up on that. Let me look at it.

I can just ship the trigger group mail right. Nothing against the law.

Yup, triggergroups are just parts. You'd be surprised how many triggergroups get sent in for work. We get a lot of basket-cases/Bag-O-Parts come in, those really suck since 90% of the time they're missing parts :cuss:

I ordered from your company and managed to install it myself. Thanks. I have a few tips if anyone out there is replacing an SKS safety spring.

At first there was some swearing...

Actually, I went to my shop...wasnt in a hurry, gathered up tools and figured it out. I do think it was one of the more difficult repairs on a gun I have done in my shop. I feel like I cheated, I used my drill press & vice to push the pins in and out. It worked like a charm.

If some American craftsman/inventer would just invent a fool proof hi cap magazine that didn't have that ugly snout in front. I tried a couple that were designed without the snout and had a piece of spring like metal to hold the front of the mas...They weren't worth a darn.
