Any body know estimated value of a chinese nordin sks?. never been fired, mfg in 1968 ?

sks

"nordin"???.....term not recognised.
SKS varieties abound in www.armslist.com , as do prices. Reasonable price/value is 300-500, depending on condition, stock type, and country of manufacture.

I would saying the going value for a Unfired late 60's Chinese SKS is somewhere between $400 and $500. The Unfired ones are getting harder to find so if you can get it for under $500 then scoop it up quick.

SKS

I got one at a sale in Port Orange FLA.Its a Noringo type 56 from China.Ten shot knifeayonet all numbers match.Fine barrel.I just got a 30 round mag,I like it as new $360.00 and $30.00 for a steel mag.Its for when SHTF

Sounds like you have a Norinco SKS. Right now with all this crazy gun ban talk a good guess would be as stated above. JMO $250-$300 sounds about right. If unfired & in great shape maybe a little more.

The newly imported ones for 299 are well used.

If he's looking at a like new, very good condition sks, in Central Ohio right now they seem to be selling for 400-500. (I agree it's high, but that's the going rate).

Around here they are going for $500-$600, I've seen the same on gunbroker. This I know because I have been watching them for a couple of months now. I was lucky enough to pick my mis-matched Norinco up a few weeks ago for $350; the panic is driving them up like everything else. Don't know where you guys are finding these ufired $300 SKS's but I would sure like to buy 15-20 of them, I could make a fortune.

I haven't seen a Norinco in excellent condition for about 3 years now here in Ohio. The last one I saw the guy wanted $200. I thought there must be something wrong with it so I asked if I could take the dust cover off to look at the guy got mad and left. Hmmm... I think I must have struck a nerve. That price was just too good to be true although I'd love to have a Norinco in excellent condition again. If you could find one now it would likely be at least $500 now but that's a big "if". The recent imports with the cheap wood aren't my idea of excellent condition because they have all been shot a lot. I did find a Yugo that was still packed in cosmoline about 2 years ago. It was $250. I bought it. I could get about $400 for it now but I'm holding tight. I think it could end up being the one semi-auto, battle carbine a person can legally own here before long. I hope not but if Obama has his way...

The deals are still out there guys. Just go to the last page of Gunbroker and keep on refreshing. That's how I found my matching numbers unfired, mint condition Norinco for $400. That was a little less than one month ago. If I were going to sell it now, I could easily get $500. I've seen rifles in worse condition go for more than that.

Because my Norinco has no grenade launcher, and costs less than a Russian etc, it will one day be replaced by a second Norinco.

Not too many people on THR seem aware of the stable SKS prices (for many of them) on Gunbroker over the last month.
Many are listed by sellers, or received recent bids only up to about $325-$375.

A huge number of gun owners are not even aware of GB.
That is what always surprises me, and this includes a retired Marine Corps pilot I just worked with.
