In my opinion, the best looking holster yet! The tight form fit capable with one just enhances the firearm as it's drawn from the holster.Like a fine Bra on a Beautiful woman!
The Slim Jim holds the revolver securely, moreso than any other style it keeps the revolver holstered even during action events! WHile walking and worn cross draw, the gun stays put.
Beyond function, the wide flat section of leather gives a great canvas for engravers! I prefer a simple border trim and plain leather because the revolvers form shows through. I lightly "wet Fit my Triple-K Hickock slim jim though I could have been more agressive andreally soaked the leather dripping wet. I did get a light form to show and can always re-do it anytime.
The simple look lends itself to an equally simple belt and the entire rig is very light weight. Heck with fancy rigs trimmed in precious metal, you can have rigs weighing 6-8 lbs EMPTY!
I bought a nice Walk and Draw Single Six one gun, rig that weighs at least 5 lbs!
Still , I appreciate the simple good looks of the Slim Jim and good belt worn cross-draw over all fancy rigs. It just looks "right".

I like the Slim Jim style for 'walking around' and it really lets you show off your grips.

I prefer a flap style for serious outdoorsy activities, but as an old west style the Slim Jim is a favorite.
