Yes, it did come with the extended mag. I have shot with it but to be honest, I don't like the way it looks or carries. I got the PM9 because of the short grip. I was more accurate with the longer grip, but not to the degree that it would make me carry with the extended mag. However, Pearce Grips makes a small extension for the mag that looks like it would help a lot and not add much to the butt of the gun. JMO YMMV

I love my Kahr CW9. I paid $389.00 for it. It carries like a compact, but shoots more like an intermediate to full size.

Kahr P9 (it is just a bit larger thtan the PM series)is the way to go, small, light weight and easy to conceal. The trigger is DAO and requires a bit of practice to get used to. I have shot my for several years and the only problems were ammo related. The gun is reliable.

Glock 26...but no Glocks...well look at the following

all the Kahr 9mm

Kel-tec PF-9 and P11

Taurus PT111

Springfield XD Sub Compacts

I've owned a few Kahrs, but just couldn't get happy with them. The Sig 239 I've owned were great guns. The Taurus PT111 might be the ticket.

I just got back from breaking in my spankin'-new Kahr MK9. Ran just shy of 250 rounds of Blazer and UMC 115-grain ammo without a single hiccup. Ran 2 magazines (12 shots total) of Remington Golden Saber 124-gr +P after that. The very last round stovepiped. It was past time for me to get back to the office, so I had to end on that note.

I'm guessing that it would like to be cleaned now, and then it will run another 200 without a hitch. We shall see...

I sure do like this little gun so far!!

Check out the Kahr PM9 as others have suggested. It's a great little 9mm carry gun that fits right in your pocket. There's a great writeup on it in the current issue of Handguns Magazine. Here's a photo of mine:

S&W

I like my S&W 908. Very similar to the much loved 3913. Comes in both blue and stainless finishes. Slim, easy to conceal, and unfailing performance (at least for me).

Compact 9 mm?

If you are really set on a single action, I have a couple of Star BM's in 9mm that have functioned perfectly, can be carried cocked and locked, have decent triggers and the sights aren't bad. They aren't exactly a compact. Grip length is about the same as a 1911, with a 4 " barrel. I don't remember exactly what I paid for mine. One was 98%,the other showed serious holster wear (they were issue guns for Spain's Civil Guard). Seems like the worn one was under $250.

That said, my everyday carry gun is a Kahr P9 IWB with a Keltec 3AT in a pocket holster. In the badlands, it's a a Glock 23 with two extra mags.

Taurus PT-111, the best part about the Mil Pro is that you can get all fingers around the grip, much easier than the glock or the XD sc. Some say to stay away from Taurus, but do a search on the PT-145 and you will get a bunch of good feedback on all the Mil Pro's. The Karh CW9 or CW40 looks like a good deal. Good luck!

I do like the Khar, but I much prefer DA/SA for consistency between carry weapons, and because I feel much safer with a manual safety. That Mil Pro in DA/SA looks like a great choice for a small concealable pistol that still packs a punch. I'll have to head to a store to check one out in person. And it's less than $300, so if it ends up sitting in some police evidence lockup for a year, no big deal. I would hate to use an expensive SIG in an altercation with a BG and end up losing it for a long time(maybe permanently).

How does the Taurus Mil Pro stack up quality wise? $280ish seems like quite a steal.
