what's the smallest caliber ever made? commercial and wildcat
number 3 is a 45 acp

If we are paying attention, the length of this thing at 6.1mm (.240") is literally a few hairs wider than a .22 bullet.
Wow, very cool, I had never heard of that before. Id be interested in firing one and hearing how loud the report is.for a centerfire rifle round, a really popular one that is being made by a bunch of wildcatters , is a 14/221. shoots a 10 to 15 grain round at about 4000 fps. The reason the wildcatters/varminters like it so much, the outrageous fast and violence to its spin, causes a tiny entrance wound. It then completely blows apart inside the animal, and does not exit. So what you end up with , is a cartridge that can give you reliable hits out to 200 or so yards, but with no pelt damage. I think you can read about it here.
