Just a little fun question, what is the smallest functional handgun, regardless of caliber? Beretta Bobcat, Bond Arms Defender? I don't know myself.

My guess would be the little mini revolvers. The ones made for 22 short are a bit smaller than a typical double derringer.

The Taurus pistols are small, but the Texas Defender derringers are a little smaller, only 5 inches long by 3 inches high. My PM9 is pretty small, but there are probably some smaller guns out there.

I was out shooting with my stepfather one afternoon and his buddy whipped out one of these. He proceeded to shoot it and the bullets were landing about 30 feet out in front of him. Definitely a belly-gun.

If the bullets were landing 30 feet in front (as in falling to the ground), then it wouldn't even penetrate a belly at close range. Are you sure he wasn't aiming 30 feet in front of him?

My NAA .22 mag revolver is certainly a handful, and while hits beyond 10 yards are fortuitous, that little .22 mag slug is still moving along down range.

I have a NAA 22s and a 22 Mag with the 1 5/8 barrel. The later is shootable and for fun I did the TX DPS protocol for a CHL with it. I scored about a 230 ish.

With the 22S, about 150. It is a cute workable gun to stick up someone's nose.

The 22 Mag goes off like a thunderclap. I fired it once in an indoor range and thought I blew up.
