Hey Guys,
I know this is a weird question. I'm wondering what the smallest caliber center fire round would be? I'm looking for something fairly cheap, I only need a couple rounds.

I did find a thread where someone mentioned the 2.7 mm Kolibri which is perfect, however the only information I can find on how much ammo is, is from wikipedia and it states that it's 70 bucks a round. I did a little searching for this and found they also did a 3.0 mm Kolibri which is suppose to be easier/cheaper to find, but I turned up nothing.

I'm looking for something around as large as 6mm diameter for the case. Smaller would be better though.

Sweet, thanks guys. I think either of those would work well.

I think with the hornet I could neck it down at the base small enough, I don't know if the .25ACP would have enough brass to neckit down, however it is close enough to the size I'm looking for that I wouldn't have to.

Thanks again.

I know how well this is not going to go over here but....

I'm stretching my ear lobes, I think it would be sweet to put a casing in them, not very many people have done that. Since I don't plan to go very big since it is permant, I would like them to shrink to a some what normal size if they were to interfere with a job in the future. I needed to find something small enough. I was looking at .22, which I would be able to do in a month or two, but the bottom of it isn't very 'cool' looking as compared to a center fire. With center fire you would easily be able to tell what it is.

Let the flames begin...:neener:

Just make sure the primer is deadened, if you are going to shoot the rounds first. The idea of live primers that close to your ear canal gives me the willies.

I'll try to remember to post pictures when I get there. I'm at an 8g which is 3.2mm, I'll have to go to 6g, 4, then 2, which is 6mm. It's usually a good idea to wait atleast a month in between so you don't really screw up your ears.

What would be the best way to deadened the primer? Either of the 3 suggest rounds which should work well I won't have a gun to fire them.

Spray some WD-40 on the primers, and let it soak in a few days or weeks. The penetrating oil will kill the primer.

Hey, can you mods sticky this? Cause this definitely is a "creative" post. How many other gun forums have THIS kind of discussion? None, that's how many.

17 Remington Fireball is not rimfire :)

The smallest in caliber? 17 Remington Fireball. I can get that in a few stores around here.

The smallest, small wise? .25 ACP I guess.

Since you only need 2 cartridges you may want to check out http://www.ammo-one.com They should have anything you want.
Thanks Huff, that is probably where I will end up buying them from, whenever it is.

Remington Fireball is not rimfire

I stand corrected, I forgot where I read that it was rim fire, I think I was getting it confused with another round.
