I got this priming tool & it works very smoothly i did put a few drops of Rem Oil on the joints & it primers very quickly & does a great job it has the "Feel" to it like the other popular hand priming tools SANY0631.jpg I ordered this Priming Tool for $13.99 at www.natchezss.com . The Smartreloader Hand Priming uses standard shellholders
that works on your presses & it doesnt work with Lyman shellholders give the SR hand Priming tool a run & you will see thats its a good made tool

I have been using the same Lee hand primer for 20 years. I have been thinking of buying the new style Lee if for no other reason than the fact that the tray covers lock on. Looks like the smartreloader would prevent sore thumbs, but i think i'll stick to American when ever i have the choice.

Glad it's working for you. This is the first positive report I've read on anything manufactured by SmartReloader!

I use the rcbs the one this is a copy of..I'd prefer an American built product whenever possible ...Pretty soon the only jobs in the USA will be selling. shipping and repairing Chinese made knock offs….

The Smart Reloader stuff just isn't at my "I'll try it" price point.
10-20% less and I probably would. Their stuff just isn't cheaper than the other low cost brands that I know what to expect from.

As I stated in your other review, when it comes to electronics we here in the good Old U.S.of A have little choice when it comes to electronics, Sorry, but that is the fact of the matter, like it or not.

The debate comes up because of of the state of our ecomony here in the U.S. especially when we have the choice to purchase home grown products made right here in the U.S. with U.S. materials & U.S. labor at prices comparable to chinese imports. That right there is the whole crux of the matter.

However I guess if you wish to support foreign products and labor, especially those that are essentially knock-offs of U.S. products, I imagine that is your prerogative, just don't expect much support from those of us who wish to help and support our economy at this time.

Hope this explanation clears up the water for you, mayhap you should look closely as to whether your employment could possiblity be outsourced also. Something for one to consider and think about.

BTW, My shoes fit and I do Wear Them, very comfortably I might add.

Just an add on to your reviews, read the warrenty papers carefully, in case of a part failure one only must mail the defective unit back to Italy, prepaid I might add, for their consideration as to whether to repair or replace said unit. How do you think thats gonna work out, huh?

Normal turn around for LEE, and RCBS is usually a week or less.

I want to say thank you for your reviews. I have looked at these products before, but I have never seen anyone actually using them. I noticed that you are buying all of your reloading items from SmartReloader. How is this working for you? I have a tendency to buy items that I know are good quality and will suit my needs. I don't stick with any particular brand out of loyalty. I just buy what I feel will work best on my bench.

On another note, it is very difficult to understand some of your reviews. I am not one to bash poor grammar (I am just as guilty), but this is making your posts very difficult to understand. I ma just trying to help and understand. Once again thank you for your time and reviews...

If you really care buy smart then take the money you saved & help that neighbor down the street that has fallen on hard times or even offer him a job at your home & you can pay him well for his work with the money you have saved.

Most of the shoes I buy is made in china also. How about yours?

I have read my SR warranty & it reads nothing like that. Besides haven't you read the CS he has been receiving? I also had a Lee die that I was having problems with & they told me to send the die back with a fired case(postage paid by me) & a $5 check to cover shipping back to me & if the die need adjusting they would contact me for payment of the repair. I fingered it would just be easier & cheaper to buy a new die.

Normal turn around for LEE, and RCBS is usually a week or less.
Agreed.
RCBSs' CS is next to none by my experience but I still chase the best value. Sometimes it is good CS & sometimes its dollar but if I can get both in the same place then that's where I'm going.

Trapper500 is right about his review, it shouldn't be a political football. But, that said I always try to buy quality from our own companies.

Heck, I'm not even big on Lee products. They work but don't last in my opinion.

SR Hand Priming Tool

All iam doing is reviewing the product & inform all of you how they work & function thats all & some of you start a debate on its mfg. This is a review only go some where else to post your other views they really dont belong in here the replies should mostly be about the tool being reviewed some of you are acting like iam a terroist or something because i like this brand of reloading tools .I think it is only fair to let everyone know how good or how bad a product is. Iam going to post any review i want to honestly & if any SR or any other tool doesn't preform as its advertised i think that all of us have a right to know .I not claming to a expert on nothing just one of the many reloaders who likes to try new tools .If any of my reviews help just one reloader to make a good choice . Some of you fellas should try living on just $658.00 a month & love to reload you would see thing differently

I prefer to view all my Lee reloading gear as being economical or affordable rather than being 'cheap'.

My LGS has begun carrying the import Smart Reloader gear. It seems to be in the same price bracket as Lee, no idea if it is of the same quality. Yes SR does seem to rely on other manufacturers for its designs. How's that for a PC way to say they copy? - lol

The same with almost all reloading companies. most dies work in most presses along with shell plates. More then one company puts out out a chamfer/deburr, hand primer, even lube. Gun companies put out calibers designed by other companies.

This slamming is getting stupid. I have left other forms because of this kind of thing. It isn't helpful. It is just trash talk.

lets stick to discussion of the product/company at hand.

and my two cents: looking at their webpage it does look like they are directly copying products made by American companies. Considering these products have largely been around, unchanged, since I started reloading in 1988, I don't think their's an IP issue involved, but it does feel shady.

my 2 cents on SR, as a European, it's what I like to call CHUNK or Chinese Junk and to think otherwise is akin to looking for German engineering in a Russian lada. The yanks make good reloading equipment, the krauts good cars and the chinese make good....well....I'll have to get back to you on that...(reverse engineering perhaps? )

SR makes Lee look like Redding with bells and whistles galore. They tried selling it here in local gunshops but nobody bought (wasted their money on) these products. Their inertia hammer imploded the first time I used it, got an rcbs problem solved.

The only thing I would use SR equipment for is target practise, unfortunately the rules of my range won't indulge this fantasy of mine  :)

the chinese make good....well....I'll have to get back to you on that

The Chinese can manufacture anything and they can do it as well as anyone else in the world. It is the importers that give Chinese manufacturing a bad name because they want stuff made as cheap as possible to line their own pockets. I buy American when i can because i want to support my own economy, but i did consider purchasing the item in question to have a spare and simply to see how well it worked, but i saw a terrible review on it and decided against it.
