I'm on a bit of a revolver binge.
I just picked up a Smith M19-5 to go with my other Smiths. It's the two and a half inch model. I'd been looking for a short M66 for a few years. Got close to buying a couple but was always a bit short of cash.
The 19-5 was around $100 cheaper than the M66s I'd seen so I jumped at it.
My son and I stopped at one of the clubs I belong to on the way back from the gun store. We shot a bunch of .38 reloads from seven and three yards. I tried some shooting on the move and a cylinder full from 45 yards. The gun shot well, although the groups were left. I didn't have a screwdriver that would fit the sight screws, or it would be shooting center now.
I've heard some bad things about the way these short .357s balance. To me mine feels fine. I need a good holster for it and it will see the woods like my M28 did recently.
