Don't know much about these and trying to find the blue book value on smith revolvers doesnt always reflect real world pricing. Is a 10-5 .38spl with a 2" barrel in around 80% condition worth $350? Any other info on these are welcome as well. Thx

I bought a 4" model 10-7 last fall in 90% and it cost me $425, around here anything in an older S&W seems to fetch high dollar. Check on gun broker or similar sights, but the 2" is not as common, and if the gun locks up good, I would say it's worth all of $350. If it's something you are looking to buy, I would jump on it in a heartbeat,

Looks fairly decent and provided everything checked out okay mechanically, I think you did alright.

I paid $300 two years ago for a 2" S&W 10-5 in similar condition and am very happy with it. I suspect you will be very happy with your recent purchase, too.

Congratulations!

... and let us know how it shoots.

Beat up, DAO Model 64s go for $280-$300 when Buds can get them. $350 is good price for a Model 10 today. The snubby is less common. I think you did well.

I bought a Model 10 with a 4" pencil barrel in immaculate condition a little over a year ago for $245.00. I would say easily 95% or higher gun.

I picked this 10-6 up 6 or 7 months ago for a bit over $200 because the previous owner neglected it and it looked a mess. After a bit of effort, it cleaned up nicely.

That is beautiful, those mod. 10s are special.
A great carry gun & with some of the better loadings on the market now are a very viable defense gun. As a trail & knocking around gun they are hard to beat. I've developed a real fondness for the good old wadcutter @ just over 800fps.
Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like a good deal! I picked my model 10 up a couple years ago for just under $200. Now I'm kicking myself for not buying two.

Had to come back for another look.:)
Thanks for sharing.

That gun looks pretty nice, I think you did ok too.
I'm probably not the only one who'd like a range report when you get it to the range.
Congratulations Enjoy!

Okay price for a 2". Rarity of barrel lengths around me (least to most) 4" HB, 4" pencil, 3"HB, 2"/6", & 5".

Smith & Wessons are not going down in price any time soon. I would have bought it in a heart beat! Enjoy it!
