The first 329 PD I bought was shortly after they came on the market. That gun was in the mid/upper $900’s. The second one bought early last year was close to $1100. both were purchased new. I’ve only seen two come up for sale locally in the last couple to three years. $900 or thereabouts was the asking price. It’s a gun you just don’t see very frequently on the secondary market (at least I don't).

With the recent edition the wood grips were changed up. Somewhat less bulky than previously(should conceal better with the rounded butt) with nicely cut checkering. I had no issue with the original wood grips as I liked the way they looked and size wasn't important since I carried it open in the back country. S&W also is using a new style rubber grip which totally encases the metal backstrap. that's bound to make a noticeable difference in comfort when pulling he trigger on full house loads.

I really like how the those grips feel, a lot. Hopefully they are ok for specials

I shot sone heavy Underwood 255gr 44 specials and that's about the linit of the wood grips.

Put the rubber ones on and was able to do a few 300gr Cast Core and 300gr Hornady rounds without dying. It really wasn't too bad at all, I wouldn't shoot several hundred though at a time

Did you stop and check the crimps after every second shot for bullet creep?

Took it hiking for the first time. I only have a Galco Switchback for it now but it was a dream to pack around. Very happy

I have a friend who has a nickname of Moose. He is about 6' 4" and perhaps in the 275 pound area. I was with him when he bought his M329 .We drove home to his place where he loaded the gun with magnums. He fired one shot , laid the gun on the hood of his truck and and started shacking his arm as if he had slammed it in a car door. I told him to try some .44 Specials in it, but received no reply. He unloaded it without saying anything but would reach over and rub his arm and elbow once in awhile.
About a month later we went to a gun show together. We went our separate ways but when I looked back I noticed him handing the M329 to a dealer as the dealer passed him some money. I tack it the recoil was not pleasant.
