The fun of resurrected threads

I find it entertaining that, since this thread began in 2004, three of the things folks complained about are fixed:

1) Model 21s are available without the gold logo
2) Square-butt Model 22s are available
3) The New Vaquero has resurrected the Old Blackhawk-sized frame.

Personally, I thought the 21 (logo aside) was very cool, and would be far more inclined to buy the 22 if it did have the round grip. Then again, I wasn't old enough to buy pistols until this millenium.

The even cooler resurrected threads are the ones that started pre-Sep2004, where everyone insists that the AWB will never go away.

Oh wad some pow'r
the giftie gie us
Tae see ourselfs
as ithers see us
It wad frae monie a blunder free us...

Another choice, since the thread started... the 629 Mountain Gun is once again available. Cheaper than the 21/22's, it is highly packable - and with a swap to the .500 Magnum style Hogue grip, it is a 'real' .44 Magnum, as well.

Does it have Model 21 stamped inside the yoke? S&W didn't start stamping model numbers until 1957.
However, according to Supica & Nahas #S142678 should be late 1955.

Either way, yes it is one of the original models.
