Hi guys, I bought a Smith & Wesson 6" K-22 and was wondering if anyone could give me a date and some more info on it...It is marked K 328xx on the bottom.

not me, but congratulations, and welcome to both the k-22 club and the best revolver forum on the internet !

(folks here will tell you better info on your specific gun very shortly)

K18732 - K73121 = 1948

Pics please for payment of my awesome look it upness? :D

Your K22 Masterpiece was manufactured in 1948. From early 1948 frames were stamped with a a four line address, prior to that they were simply stamped Made in USA. Early production guns have a tapered barrel, later guns a straight barrel.

Value is around $600 in excellent condition.

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on obtaining one of the nicest S&Ws around.

You and your grandkids will no doubt enjoy shooting that little treasure.

Sweet! Mine is 1948 also K5****. Was matte blue refinished when I got it around 1980. Looks like a miniature Highway Patrolman :) Shoots beautifully.

You should get on your knees and thank God it is so old.

Your gun comes from the golden age of the revolver.

Simply one of the finest .22 revolvers ever made.

thanks a lot guys! i've wanted one since i saw that 617/17 club picture thread...i don't think i got hurt at $540...i have a 66-2 and a 29-3 which both have good triggers, but this thing has a great trigger...unreal how smooth this thing works. anyone have any idea what these sold for new?
