I have become interested in the Smith & Wesson Model 61 Escort, as my love for the 422/622 series has grown. I see that the later 61s have a barrel nut, just like the 422/622. Did they all have the barrel nut? Also, and mainly the reason for my post, does the EWK adapter work on the 61s that have the barrel nut? I emailed EWK, but havent received an answer yet. I would really like to buy a 61, install the adapter, and shoot it suppressed. Thanks.

I own a -3 and carry on milk runs. I'm thinking all had barrel nuts but not 100% sure. Your best off asking the adapter question at EWK. Mine had hiccups the first couple boxes but has been flawless ever since.

At 5 yards I can eat the bullseye out of a target as fast as I can pull the trigger and reload. If you ever happen upon magazines for them, snatch them up but make sure they are S&W.
Personally I wouldn't mess about with the silencer, not sure it would run, not enough gas left after passing through the silencer.

I did get an answer back from Eric at EWK, just today, and the barrel nut is smaller than the 422/622, so the adapter he makes, wont work. Thanks for commenting about your 61. Im really looking for something very small I can suppress, just for fun. I have a Beretta Bobcat at the machinists now, so that will work.
