Snow storm= reloading time.

We've had 2 snow storms last 2 weekends. I've been going through my inventory and sorting reloading stuff. Got all ready to start 500 .223 soft points when my wife decided I needed to bring in a ladder and clean inside windows in the great room (13' vaulted ceiling and a bump out with LOTS of glass. I got windows all finished so then she rewarded me with a glass of wine and some popcorn by the fire and I never got back to the bench.

My wife would have had to do a little something "extra" unless she was on the ladder next to me. They make squeegees with extension handles.

I did some online shopping for a few pieces I need. Besides adding half an hour to my hour drive to work, the snow hasn't given me any down time. Ordered some sizing/lubing dies on my lunch break though, and some stuff to try powder coating with.

I almost feel bad for you people that actually shovel your snow, unless you're getting paid for it. I quit doing that years ago when I figured out what "4WD" meant.

Prepped some 9mm brass. Trying to get forcing cone measurement off my M29, 44 mag.

Just checked to see if my new Lee 2 cavaty mold spure plates are steel or aluminum. (Steel, i think)

When the snow stops, still to cold to shoot outdoors.

The indoor range , now members only. https://nccsc.us/events/event/indoor-pistol-shoot-members-only/

The other, French Creek Outfitters, out of business.

But i have .177 air rifle & pistol in the basement. :) So, let it snow. (Hope electric stays on)

I shovel my snow with a kubota loader tractor. Takes longer to get the carharts and boots on and off again than it does to clear the drive.

Me wants a Kubota tractor in the worst way and have absolutely no use for one, please post a picture. If you ever get tired of your orange toy I have tons of extra primers and powder.

I have three Kubota tractors and a Kubota utility vehicle. Very helpful on my hobby horse farm. One tractor, an MX5100 has forks on the front loader and a back hoe that are invaluable when needed. We get our hay packaged on pallets and go through about 10 tons of hay/year.

The utility vehicle is used daily tending to the horses and ponies. (My avatar is the mustang we adopted from Uncle Sam.)

Fortunately in east TN, the snow has been light. I'm moving my casting equipment down to my external heated shop from the house. I'll have more room. I'm in between fab projects in the shop at the present so it would be a good place to cast and powder coat bullets.

Chapter 1: Snowy night in the Cabin, with my Colt 45 and the wife on a ladder.

Chapter 2: Reloaders fallacy; wife, wine, warm fire

No snow here but the 30º temps and high humidity make it feel colder than it is. So I spend some time everyday in the loading room. I feel fortunate that I have a dedicated room in the house thats heated and cooled. I enjoy looking out of the window and reflecting on all of the years that I worked outside, 24-7-365, in all kinds of weather. I have farm land about 100ft out of the back door and the barron fields just look cold!
