I have the super companion with kit and just can't get enough of this pistol using 4f goex powder and shooting the naa 22 bullets and #4 buckshot balls outta this sweet little pistol, this gun is a lot of fun!! :neener: so I would like to hear your experiences with this little pistol?? thanks! :D

I don't have any experience with the percussion versions but I have an NAA mini in .22 LR w/ 1 1/8" bbl as my EDC. I should have an IWB holster coming in the mail from NAA any time now. Ordered it like 2 weeks ago.

The cap and ball versions look so fun! I bet it doesn't cost much at all to shoot.

I would think that if you buy chilled shot that the most expensive part of the whole equation would be caps. Am I right? By the way the cb version is way up on the short list.

I have the Magnum version and have shot it a lot, couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with it till I got some hand size grips for it. 4f powder with the NAA bullet gives you about 22 short power, see Youtube for smokless loading, and you get 22Lr+P loads. Unless you have very small hands and a strong grip, the factory grips are useless. A very well made gun and tight lock up with small cylinder gap. Fun to shoot, but I sure wouldn't use it for SD carry. 22 cal round balls are too small, need .225 to seal properly, don't know what shot mics out to.

the #4 buckshot mics at .240 so it shaves a nice ring of lead when seated into the cylinder. so you know for one, it gives a good seal plus a wider bearing surface so it'll grip the riflings much better! also I weighed the #4 buckshot and most weigh at 19.5gr whereas the naa bullets weigh on my scale 30.6gr so you get a lighter projectile with the #4 buckshot but with much surprise it shoots pretty good! so this is a way to buy a 25 pound bag of buckshot and have a lot of shots to plink around with for fun. but so I really want to buy the other model the 1860 earl due to having a 4in barrel so I can see how it performs! :)

and yes westkentucky the caps are higher which does suck so that's why I am looking for either the forester tap-o-cap or a homemade version of the forester one. so I can make my own caps... :)

well I took out my super companion today and I tried something new! a couple of weeks ago we were out shooting our 22 rifles when a new 22lr shell didn't go off so I rotated it around so the primer would strike different spots but no go! so I saved it for today and I what I did was to take the bullet out of the case and then dumped the powder into the chamber then I loaded that same bullet and seated it firmly, but the nose of the bullet stuck out a bit so I took my knife and shaved the bullet nose shorter so it'll fit. so after putting a new number 11 cap and loaded into the frame of the gun, and then pointed and pulled hammer back and wow what a difference I experienced it was like a whole different gun and so the smokless load really does wake this pistol up!! I still like the 4f bp but was impressed with that load outta of a lr shell!

I have two of the little ''magnum'' Companions, with two spare cylinders. I bought a .22 reloading kit just for the mold. There was a kid called ''Busyhands'' that used to experiment quite a bit with the mini revolvers, and even did some you tube videos on the subject. I think he grew up and joined the Service, but the vidoes might still be out there.

There are a bunch of old posts of Busyhands research into the mouse guns. He modified his to have a rear sight, and Cheaper Than Dirt even stocks a red dot laser pointer type sight.

bhp fan I was thinking on ordering that 22 reloader kit for the mold so my question is how does the bullets fit into the chambers of these little pistols, and do they shoot good?

I always carry my NAA 22 mag as a backup to whatever I choose as my main carry gun for the day. but 22 mag shells are pricy and hard to find. C&B magnum is on my short list but I'd definately fire and clean it every two weeks to keep the powder from absorbing moisture (sweat)

Did you see the news report of the woman that was arrested. The jail matron thought she was walking funny so she took the perp into a secure area with another female officer and removed a 22mag revolver from her .....
Yeah, that's right.
