What birthday is you carry gun celebrating these days?

A comfortably broken-in 5 years old?
A dependable old friend at vintage 20 years?
A "don't make 'em like this anymore" veteran of 50 years?
Or a "new gun smell fresh" nugget from the factory line?

(And for those of us who can't carry- a consolation question: how old is your oldest functioning gun?)

.

Just a baby, bought my XD-45 on 3-4-06. Stamp on the spent cartridge envelope said 3-2-06.

And just like a baby, makes a lot of noise and takes a lot to feed, but worth it!!!:D

You got that right, I did a double take when I saw it but the salesman said they had just come in that day.

I guess Springfield is shipping them to gun stores just as soon as they get off the boat!

My Seecamp 32 is coming up on 4 years now. Looks like a wallet in my back pocket. Wouldn't leave home without it. So I guess I'd put it in the comfortably broken-in category.

Well, up until recently, my carry gun (that was not carried as often as it should have been) was a SigPro 2340. I got it about 6 years ago.

Now, my G26 is just a baby. I carry it daily and its less than a year old.

My XD45 is new, I don't know how old, as I didn't get a spent casing.

My summer carry gun will probably be my wife's grandfather's old S&W Mod. 60 .38. I think it was made in the 60's, but it was in essentially unfired condition when we got it.

my favorite is my inherited ppk from my father, nice small weapon. next is my 45. carry in a cargo pocket is easy. home defense is my 45 or the 870 next to the bed. 00 buck x 3 + a slug. any ohio residents: is CCW worth the $100 i am seriously considering it.

I usually carry a Colt Combat Commander that is 9 years old.

Occasionally I will carry a Colt Officers ACP which is about 17 years old or if I need even deeper concealment, a Taurus M85UL that is about a year old.

Nice weather concealed carry, Rossi model 352. Taurus says they manufactured it 1-12-06. I bought it 2-4-06.

Jacket weather concealed carry, 1993 vintage Ruger Old Army, 7.5" barrel. (It's Dirty Harry, old west style!)

Open carry, I'm still looking for info on my FM Hi-Power, every other time I'm carrying a Zastava .32 but Zastava wont tell me when it was manufactured. They said the records were destroyed (I'm thinking it was produced before the NATO airstrike levelled half the factory)

I have a Kel-Tec P11 that has been my daily carry gun for the past two years in cool / cold weather.

My stainless Sig P232, also two years old, is my summer carry pistol.

AN OLDIE BUT A GOODIE...

"Nuff said?

When I carry my Diamondback...its the first revolver I bought for myself...that was 1971.

When I carry my S&W mod 4553...its the one my family gave for my 50 th birthday...so its coming up on 6 yrs old.

Both show a little wear.
Mark.
