Another thing to do is make sure everything's screwed down tight.
I travel in between Colorado and Florida twice a year and everytime I go back to the mountains the lack of humidity makes the stock shrink. It actually gets to the point where if you shoot the rifle you can feel a wobble and have to tighten everything down.
 
I would say that it is between a nick and a gorge on the crown hahahaha. I'll look into recrowning it myself, or maybe just take it to a smith. I'm really toying with the idea of chopping a few inches off the barrle and bubba'ing a little bit. I'll decide that a little down the road though.

How does one go about slugging a barrel? Is it pretty much just pulling a bullet and dropping it in to see if the travel smoothly? I figure a "perfect" or new bore would have resistance since that would be therifling grabbing the bullet, but a worn bore would let it pass through with ease?
