well the thought of a Mosin Nagant with so little details included for 450 bucks is some what a humor.

Or just ridiculous? whatever you call it I guess.

But I also dont see this thread being very high road so it probably wont last long. lol should probably have stayed out of it.

I don't see what's funny.
Really? Unless it's a ridiculously rare model, which it doesn't look to be, it's worth nowhere near $450. I just bought a Soviet 91/30 for $84 out the door, and that was even a hex receiver.

that price is actually in the ballpark for a reproduction mosin sniper rifle. While it is a little on the high side, it is close.

It's not far off the mark for the repro Mosin-Nagant sniper rifles (those repro PU scopes are not cheap). A true Mosin-Nagant (ie all matching, rolled out of the factory the way it is) often go for considerably more.

The reproduction pu scoote sell for $280+. You will probably need to pay a gunsmith to drill and tap your receiver to install a scope mount. You will need a bent bolt installed also. Go see what all that ends up costing on your $89 nagant.

Cal-gun, I started to mention what j&g sold them for. On top of that price the shipping is $22. If you don't have a ffl or c&r then another $20 or so. Sounds like close to $500.

There was a guy at the flea market this weekend who was selling a Remington Arms mosin for $450. He then asked me to make him "an offer he can't refuse." He ridiculed me when I offered him substantially less. Didn't know they were made of gold.

$450.00 for a Mosin Nagant in a standard configuration that's not a rare model is overpriced...

But a sniper replica one...well, that seems to be the average going price. I think I saw one site selling some original snipers for about $1000.00...though I don't remember which.

NOO3K, that was Rguns.com. It seems high, but they are actually original snipers with original matching scopes. Very rare, considering most sniper rifles were dismantled after the war.

Cal-gun, trust me, I know it's not high, and I did say they were originals, I just couldn't remember WHERE I saw them. I just was using it as an example since some people seem to think anything over $150 is expensive for any Nagant. :p

Last gun show I attended had a Mosin Sniper on a table for $425 or $450, I don't remember. I've seen them asking as much as 500+ for snipers with repro optics at previous shows...

I checked it out, fondled it for a bit, sat it down to go back to a buddy's table to BS and give it some thought before laying down cash.

Watched a guy walk over to the table, pick up the rifle, walk to the register, and purchase it less than 5 minutes after I sat it down.
