.....not really planning on buying a gun today, but God Bless the USA, when I found a good deal I went home with it :)

Bass Pro has the Ruger 10/22 rifle (bandless and not the carbine) for $179.94. It was normally $199.99 but just happens to be on sale through Dec 24th. After making a spur of the moment choice and using some saved rewards points I walked out with a new rifle for $150! It's hard to find a used 10/22 in good shape for anything less than $200 anymore.

Not that this has any real topic value but it made me happy and I thought I'd share! Go get 'em while they're on sale!

gotta love those spur of the moment purchases. im not sure what i like more - the all out researching and thinking of nothing but a certain gun for weeks and then buying or just strolling into a store and picking something up unconsciously.

I love The cheap guns.

Only Bought two used spur of the moment guns.

One was a great gun, almost kept it for the looks alone, FEG FP-9? Was a BHP clone, but had the best looking bluing I have ever seen. REally glossy, deep blue. Thing would not feed a whole mag without jamming. Was bad at first, bought springs, polished parts, everything I could do short of a smith job. (gun was really cheap, and I didn't want a double cost pretty gun) So it went back. I eventually want to find one that works. Friend has an FEG pa-63 in 9mm mak, and it's been 100%.

Second was a Shotgun. Looked at it, saw it was bolt action. Intrigued, saw it was $85. Wife liked it ( Yes, she LIKES guns.... and video games.... I picked a winner ) So I walked out with it. Mossberg C-lect in 12 guage. Shot it a few times. Great for putting a lot of tiny holes in cardboard. I love weird guns.

My 10/22 is quite possible my most favorite plinking rifle...........naw it is my most favorite. Awesome deal.

I got mine on sale for $125 with a scope. But that was a few years back when K-mart was getting rid of their firearms.
