Looks like Gov. Quinn will be using his amendatory veto powers on the Illinois carry bill which of course will get over-ridden and then the bill will become law as it was originally written.

Quinn will say he did his best and win the hearts and minds of the anti-gunners who will hopefully vote for him in the next election.

Madigan won't be able to say Quinn was soft on gun violence in her campaign against Quinn for the governorship and won't be able to appeal Moore v. Madigan to SCOTUS since Illinois has met the Federal Appeals Court requirements with the enactment of the carry bill.

Not good. Rather she appeal it to SCOTUS.

Well, he did it. Quinn used his amendatory veto power on the IL carry bill. Now it will be sent back where it will be over-ridden and will stay the way it was presented to him.

I guess no appeal to SCOTUS.

Political posturing over our Constitutional rights...forcing the legislature to defend our rights, while he gets to say he tried. Whatever.

I'm tired of people playing games with my rights. Pass it and be done with it.
