Well graduation is quickly approaching. which leads me on to just another chapter in my life. and i want to try to get as many firearms as i can before the whole wife and kids chapter. So i was trying to think about what i want in comparisson to what i have and i have come up with a top 5 list.

1. AK47 with all the bells and whistles
2. AR-15/M4 build up of sorts
3. Mac 10/11 (always been intrigued by these. first gun i ever fired. and it was full auto)
4. .50BMG of some sort. would like a barrett but an AR50 is probably more what i will end up with
5. Full Auto Uzi

so those are my top 5 for now how about you????

Well, a while back I decided that since my bad feet are getting worse and I don't shoot the rifles I have I wouldn't buy anymore. Since then I've bought 5 more rifles, and am gathering the stuff to start building FAL rifles.

So to answer your question, #1 and #2 will be FAL's, one in OD Green furniture and one in Wolf Gray (both DSA Duracoat).

Just picked up a Colt AR-15A3 and have a FA Uzi coming, so I'd say #3-#5 will be handguns although I have no idea what they'll be. Seeing as how I'm trying to learn gunsmithing they may be beaters that I'll try and refurbish. :)

The next five I have a real hankering for are:

1) A 1911 in .40S&W

2) Ruger Vaquero in .357

3) Marlin 1894C in .357

4) CZ-75 in .40S&W

5) S&W Model 25 or 625 in 45ACP

I'll play. Not necessarily in order...but due to cost, this may actually be the order in which they arrive.

SKS or AK47
NEF Handirifle in .223
Milspec 1911
.357 lever
.357 wheelgun

RT

No4 Mk1 Enfield
Mosin-Nagant 91/30 hex reciever
Russian Mosin M44
Some sort of 9.3mm or larger big-bore shoulder killer
M1897 Winchester or commie clone. Not a coach gun. Hopefully an original takedown model that be rebarrelled to shoot steel shot and used in the field without damaging the OEM barrel.

There are others, but the list specified five.

Next five, or top five? You asked both, but due to finances the two lists for me would be quite different.'

Top five desired guns (not my dream list, my realistic, but can't necessarily afford them now, list):
-M1 Garand
-Navy Arms Winchester 1873 replica in .45LC
-Kimber CDP (not sure if I'd go 3" or 4" size)
-Howa or CZ rifle in .243, 6.5mm Swiss, or similar
-A really nice SA revolver

Next five list (well far more than 5 would realistically be on the list- I am an impulse buyer, so I don't have hard and fast next lists, but larger lists of guns which will be among the next guns, thus even these top 6 may not necessarily be my next 5):
-A decent SA revolver
-A lever rifle in .357mag
-Taurus PT 911
-A .45LC or another .41mag revolver
-Another 1911 (probably a compact 1911)
-An alloy J-frame (or equivelent) .38spl

At least this is easier then WildAlaska's "you can only have one" thread :)

The next top five on the "want" list....

1. S&W 686 (probably with 4" barrel)

2. M1 Garand

3. M14/M1A1

4. Another 1911 (probably a commander length)

5. Shotgun. I have no idea what type yet. I have always wanted an over-under.

List is subject to change without notice.

1. Some variety of AR. Probably an M-4 clone
2. Lever action most likely in 30-30
3. Single action revolver in .45 LC or .357 mag
4. M-1 Garand or carbine or both
5. Another 1911

In no particular order:

Marlin 1895 Cowboy, 45-70, 26" barrel

Freedom Arms Model 83, .45 Colt, 7 1/2" barrel

Ruger #1, 45-70, Rebarreled to heavy 30" octagon barrel, tang long-range sights.

Springfield M1A 18.5" barrel, stainless and composite

Savage 110, .308, 24" barrel, stainless and composite, Springfield Optics Scope for .308

I can't decide. I'm moving to Oregon in less than a month. I can now buy things I have only dreamed of.
Like a kid in a candy store, I am overwhelmed. Any suggestions? I need to stay fairly conservative on cost, but I'd like a good homeland defense and/or hunting rifle.
And I need a Browning Hi Power.
And standard capacity mags. :)

Hmmmmm . . . in no particular order:

1. Another Ruger MK II standard model, this one in the 5" heavy barrel.

2. A Colt Woodsman, heavy barrel target.

3. A Colt Woodsman, short barrel.

4. A Colt Python

5. A CZ 527 in .223 Remington.

I'm really pretty serendipitous in what I buy; it tends to find me before I make up my mind I 'have to have one'.

BUT...

the few things I'm considering...
1). A BBQ gun...I'm looking at an SP101 with a lot of custom work..see the thread on the Handguns/Revolvers section. It could be something else though; I'd initially thought about a stainless Vaquero, but I've seen the Thunderer /1877 hybrid from Cimarron. I've got an original Thunderer...I like weird Colts.

2). Winchester 94 or Marlin 336; I'm not overly picky on that.

3). Another Garand, but it's got tough competition to be as nice as my current one.

4). Another SIG, maybe a P220.

5). A Mossberg 695 bolt shotgun. I have this unusual urge to make a .72 caliber accurate long gun like the Israelis use.

<edited to add>
Oops..I forgot the Rhineland .22 somehow. A terrible oversight on my part!

Regards,
Rabbit.

What are my next 5?

I dunno, can I borrow your crystal ball? That's really a tough question. My current inventory barely makes double digits so there are a lot more than 5 missing. I'll give it a shot though.

Another AK to go with my SAR-1, something like an AK-103 or an SA M-7.

My youngest daughter wants to learn how to shoot so I need a .22 handgun.

Glock 19.

Marlin lever, either an 1894C or a 336C.

An 870 Police as a second HD shotty.

OK, there's 5. Im also thinking of picking up and inexpensive Mil-Surp to hang over the fireplace downstairs but I'm not counting it since it will be made inoperable.

Well my next 5 will most likely be:

1. M1 Garand from CMP....already have paperwork filled out
2. PTR-91
3. SKS
4. Beretta 92
5. Baby Glock in .40

1) smith 642 for pocket carry option

2) kel-tec SU16 with holosight

3) some 1911 model

4) sig P226

5) A .50 BMG bolt gun (could take a while)

Next five? That represents years of gun accumulation for me.

Right now I'm thinking:

Ruger SP101 or equivalent, .357, 3 inch, stainless. Sell off the Taurus to fund it, if necessary.

Another SKS (something to keep at the folks'), a pump shotgun, possibly an AK. I haven't thought much past that.

ok, in no particular order...

Ruger .22 Hunter
Ruger 50th Ann. BlackHawk
HK P2000SK in 9mm
either HK USPC or P2000 in 9mm
another 10/22 for a build-up

Next 5

This is the short list:

Marlin 1895SS .50 Alaskan conversion
Winchester 1985 in .405 Winchester
Reeder Ultimate Bisley in .410GNR with .41Magnum auxillary cylinder
Ed Brown Cobra carry
Springfield Armory TRP operator in SS

I've got about two pages single-spaced tack up on my cork board. I put a line through the item as I purchase them. Not many lined out lately. :(

1. building another custom 10/22
2. another Garand
3. a 1903A3
4. a semi-auto shotty-haven't decided on exact one.
5. another 1911.
