So what stance do you use when shooting handguns?

I start every situation in the “Interview Stance” then if necessary any stance that will maintain my balance. Basically it becomes a Modified Weaver. I practice one handed, two handed, bullseye. I have even practiced the old “Speed Rock” for contact distance at times. I seek the fasted way of deployment smoothly while maintaining my balance. Deploying and shooting from a Duty Belt is much different then an ankle holster, pocket holster or even FBI inside the waist band sweeping garments away. More than one way to shoot! Draw gun while maintaining balance and aligning sights never forgetting that you may still have to fight.

Typically I shoot a sort of Modified Weaver/Chapman type stance up topside along with a Boxer's stance down on the bottom half.

Chapman sort of stance. I shoot with a stance I modified from weaver I learned. It feels right to me. I also shoot bullseye style single handed.

And that girl wasn't very destracting. More like a man with long hair.
Looked too much like Jen Psaki. Chapman to answer the question.

It's been mentioned before, I use the "Modified Weaver" very similar to the Chapman, however the difference is the knees are relaxed a little more by being bent slightly and the hip is turned a little more into the strongarm. In this way, recoil can be controlled a lot more, especially when shooting a magnum or large caliber.
