You would find me as being very angry. "You wouldn't like like me when I'm angry..." Really, though, considering that I hadn't really done anything wrong (I need to hear the audio on a comp. that works properly-you can't hear anything on the one I'm on.) I would be very mad, and therefore much stronger than I normally am, things may not have been so good for him. Or, I'd pull out my pepper spray, and give him and her a taste. If I were someone watching this happen to someone else, I would gang up on the assailant to subdue him, until police arrive. I don't care what race/religion/group affiliation the person is from, I would do anything within my power to NOT let that happen to me.

I am very reluctant to say that I would draw (anything whether it be deadly force or not), but at the same time I was definitely thinking that the video ended with the victim paralyzed or dead. If I was in a situation and thought somebody was about to die, I might do something, what level of force I'd use if any if it came to that, I don't know. I too am curious what others here would do, because unfortunately in that situation, the law is iffy as you can't play police officer, but you also can't stand there and watch somebody get killed if that's what you think is transpiring. Legally you can, but I keep in mind that being judged by a jury is one thing, and being judged by G-d is another. The law would be iffy as to what a civilian could do. In most states if you believe a murder is unfolding, or the guy pulled a weapon, it would become a forcible felony and you are permitted by law to act, but at the same time in this case the victim lived (I presume), so my assumption at the time that it was about to be a murder would have been unfounded.
Tough call as a civilian.

wow. That guy vs. Kimbo Slice (???)i train mixed martial arts, have had 3 fights so far, have been knocked out a few times in training, have watched many fights and seen some pretty hardcore street fights but that was BRUTAL...
i got angry just watching the video... not just at the big felon but all the people looking dumb founded while that poor dude gets his face broken...
seriously i can honestly say i think in that situation being a bystander i would have drawn and tried to get the atacker to leave... IMHO i would have feared for that dudes life and would have felt justified to shoot...
if i was the victim i would have drawn and fired no question... its one thing to get sucker punched but that guy was HUGE, i weigh 160 lbs theres no way im knocking that dude out with no space to move around

As the victim, possibly draw as that guy doubles my body weight and it 4 inches taller. I would be afraid for my life.

Fights = broken body parts, lawsuits, jail. NOT worth it for a slice of pizza.
3. If victim, hit and run. Speed, surprise and violence of action. No escape, than dude goes to the ground.
4. If bystander, HELP that dude! People will FOLLOW a leader. Take that dude to the ground and DEMAND that you receive help. There WILL be at least ONE individual that will man up and assist, which in turn will give the others courage.
5. If armed, give the big dude ONE chance to get out and then drop him.

I think the people in the pizza joint just standing there are cowards. Every single one of them. This man is brutally attacking this guy over some supposed words that were muttered on a cellphone.
Walking out and giving a description is all fine and dandy unless the kid ends up dead. You do understand that a collapsed eye socket can turn deadly with one more punch?

First I think would depend on where I was at the pizza place.
I would probably jump him and hope somebody helps. I would be worried to do so if I was packing which odds are I would be. I don't want to get throw around by some guy twice my size with a 45 on me. I think i would be very tempted to draw. A call to the police wouldn't be bad idea.

I just don't think we should be "censored". Most of the members who are discussing this weren't even here 3 years ago. Also, I don't think we should be moderated by non-moderators. Lastly, if you have already discussed this, and don't want to, than move along so that those of us who are interested in this topic, can discuss it freely.
This video represents situations almost all of us will witness at one time or another (I already have several times) and it is worth while in my opinion to discuss strategies, solutions and responses to such a situation, especially while CCWing.
Well, the aftermath of burying a follow-thru punch 3-4 inches into someone's throat is amusing if they deserved it...assuming your target is clear. In this case however, shooting the guy would be quicker and more humane. If I am hungry and waiting for food and someone sucker punches me for no reason, I would lean toward the quicker...it's also a sure thing and he won't be doing the same thing in 4 years.

Do what you want, but THAT attitude is NOT what founded our nation and is NOT what our forefathers valued. What have we become as a nation when our "men" will not band together to fight for what is right?

This attitude is NOT American and why our country is slowly turning into a third world nation.

Thugs COUNT on the fact that in today's society American "men" will NOT do the right thing because "it's too risky to get involved" and time and time again thugs are indeed STOPPED by somebody stepping up and doing the RIGHT thing.
You DON'T have to be 6'4" 280 lbs, or a MMA fighter to be a man, all it takes is the SPIRIT and the WILL to do the RIGHT thing. If you LEAD, others WILL follow. Courage is NOT the absence of fear, it is carrying on DESPITE being afraid.

He could have easily acknowledged her and diffused the situation instead he threw out an insult and when called on it ignored the insulted thereby adding insult to insult. A lot of folks here quote the line from a famous science fiction writer "An armed society is a polite society" well she was armed with a big weapon and apparently wasn't afraid to use it.

If I were the victim I would do my best to fight back. Im about even height with that guy but hes got me by like 100 lbs. So it wouldnt be much of a fight but I would want to atleast fight back.

Looks like another fine example of what the civil rights movement and the government-media complex has brought to our culture - another ungrateful, angry, hateful black man filled with rage. That's too bad.
