This was sent to me. The friend that sent it titled it "Now I know why you carry in Vegas." What would you have done if you were in that car? How about if you were a witness to this hapening?
Since I drive a large truck, he probably would be a whole lot flatter now.
This happened on a corner I have driven thousands of times. My wife has also driven this intersection thousands of times. For those that don't recognize the area this happened on the Las Vegas strip right next to the Sahara Hotel.

I think that when he is in front of the car "my foot slipped off the brake" may be the correct way to handle this.

This is why I CCW 24/7, what is sad is no one helped out. That is why you are responsible for you and your families protection. :fire: He would have avoided me or been faced with the consequences, his choice. I hope they use the video at his trial.

The police can not be every where to protect you. This is why I have a CWP and will protect my family and me if I need to.

The anti gun croud need to wake up!

In this case, screw the CCW. You're sitting in a nearly 1-ton weapon, made (mostly) of metal! Use it! Driver in that vid had several opportunities to hit that clown hard enough to at least knock him off his feet.

"Anyone catch what he was raving about?"

Drug use.
Disenfranchisement.
Poverty.
General rage.
Lack of a father figure in his formative years.
Whatever...

This guy is a waste of oxygen.

Cops, please chime in.

I don't even think a cop in his right mind would try that shot.

I would have chosen to ram him with my car instead of shooting him. There were ample opportunities. He's a moving target, and lots of innocent people are in my backstop on at least three sides. I'm not trying to face charges for hitting an innocent bystander.

Every problem looks like a nail when you think you only have a hammer.

Two in the chest, one in the head... No question. If my family wouldn't have been there things may have turned out different. Probably would have just ended with a good ol' fashioned me beating some dumb jackasses brain out with my bare fists. Crowbar (or whatever he was using) aside, Airborne Rangers never give up.

I think that a crackhead attacking with a tire iron would justify administering some lead. I'd hate to shoot the guy, but if you're sitting in a car and he's outside swinging, it only takes one right swing to brain you :(

Any one know what the ftlbs energy of a 1 ton 4x4 work truck is? ;)

What is really disharting is that no one who seen what was happening would get out of her way so she could get the hell out of there. Place car into N rev engine to red line once jackazz step in front of car slame car into Drive and keep foot firmly planted on the floor. If you smash him oh well. If he is on the hood fine slam on the breaks and repeate above steps untill he either stops moving and the life drips from his crushed bloody skull or he scurry's away.

But as soon as the back window is broken HE NEEDS TO DIE. you are now endangering my life and your out. I don't care if it takes me running over him 4 or 5 times.

This is probabley one of many times this sort of thing has happened, and its getting worse. LE is not able to stop this sort of activity, it happens so random and you never know when or where it may happen. Time to look into self defense laws and get things back on the side of law abiding citizens.

Yeah, I'm not signing up either...

From what I read, I'd let the car insurance take care of it. And try to leave out of there in a most expeditious manner while not injuring the fellow.

All you testosterone-fueled folks out there... READ THIS.

When bubba wakes up in the hospital, he's gonna have a phone book next to him with about a thousand lawyers in it. How deep are your pockets?

Would have been perfectly justified in using deadly force to stop the threat, be it the car or a firearm. If it had been me the last thing he would of seen is the flashes before the 125 grain JHP's from my .357 lodged in his chest ending the threat.

One other thing, there's no way I would have gotten out of my vehicle to confront that guy. Remember what happened to that truck driver that got out of a big truck during the LA riots.

I'd like to think that if that happened to me, that SOB would get a good view of the underside of my vehicle. Seen this video many times before, and it amazes me that the driver of that car didn't wipe his butt out. Actually no, it doesn't surprise me really, given the state of our average citizen these days.

Those of you that didn't watch it shouldn't be giving advice on the situation... It went from a few dents in the bodywork to a tire iron swinging dangerously close to the heads of anyone in the back seat.

If that happened to me with or without my family present, trapped in traffic like that, once he started breaking windows, he'd be a smear in the road the first time he walked in front or behind the car.

Reginald Denny didn't get out of his truck, the thugs pulled him out, then beat him nearly to death.
