So what's on your current 'want to buy' list?

My current firearms collection is pretty sad. I have 2 SKS's one Chinese and one Russian, a Hi-point 9mm carbine, a hi-point .45 handgun, a mossberg 500 home defense model, and a lever action Winchester model 94 30-30. So, if I had the money, I think first I would get a Beretta 92, and a H&K G3

Only two:

One I already bought - Wild West Guns Hi-Power. Been in the oven for 5 months now, everything done except engraving and plating. Another 2 months and she should be comin' home to dad.

One I can't afford - Barrett M82A-1. Just 'cuz I think the man has done so much for the community - nads of steel with the CA issue. I'll likely forego some others so I can get it...eventually.

There's a few too many mil-surps and C&R's I cleaned up and haven't shot yet. Shameful really. That'll be rectified before anything else is purchased - apart from the above 2.

An M-14 type semi auto from LRB arms in the hope that the fifth time is the charm... :banghead:

Should have bought that new BM-59 when I had the chance... :banghead:

Not like I really need any more at this time. :)

My current list...

- Decent, inexpensive bolt action .22lr (Savage Mark II unless I splurge on a CZ-452) for the groundhogs
- Enfield .303 British (my wife wants one again)
- Para CCO LDA
- Remington 760/7600 Gamemaster .30-06 (again, for my lovely wife...before deer season :) )
- Remington 870 12ga
- S&W 686 4" (for my wife...am I lucky or what?)

I don't know how much I "need" most of them, except the .22. That'll probably be this weekend. ;)

On my "longer term" list:

- AR-15 variant of some kind
- Inexpensive 1911 I can learn some smithing on
- S&W 640PD

On my wife's longer list:

- 7mm Rem Mag
- Something in .270
- 12ga slug gun
- 10ga O/U
- more, but I forget the whole list now...

I only want two more pistols and another rifle to complete my want for firearms (rifle chambered in .270 Win). I will afterwards begin a small archery collection. After that is night vision gear, then night vision home surveillance.

Lets see....

I want this

I want this

I would also like one of these

and if I had some spare change I wouldn't mind a platoon of these

Sadly, my eyes are far bigger than my wallet and certain agencies don't think I should own a few of these pieces of equipment. :(

In the meantime, seeing as how I am soon to be a poor law student...I am being forced to scrape and scrounge for a new house gun. Next realistic purchase will be a VEPR. :D

oh yeah, Tylden, *IF* CZ comes out with the 453 in the Varmint config rifle in .17 HMR, then I WILL have to have one. But I can live without the 453 (barely) in its soon-offerings (.22lr & .17M2), fortunately for my budget.

I'll list my long-term (15-20 year) acquisition-plan wants later, which the Barrett 82 is on as well. The Finn M39 Mosin is the one gun (I can think of at present) that might jump up from that list to the can't-live-without list as well.

OK, well, here's the long-term list:

1. FN FiveseveN, 5.7x28mm
2. Para Ordnance "CCW", 4.25" bbl, compact grip 1911, bobbed hammer, no beavertail / .45 acp
3. Barrett 82/ .50 BMG
4. RAP4 Paintball Marker AR clone/ .43 cal
5. Excaliber ExoMax recurve crossbow / 225 lbs
6. Ruger 77 turbolt, with Volquartsen or Green Mountain 1 in 9" twist BBl, Suppressor (1/2x28), for Aguila SSS 60 gr ammo / .22 lr
7. Custom turnbolt, in .300 Whisper
8. Rossi Single Shot 20" / .243 Win (ultra-light long hike rifle)
9. Remington 7600 pump / .35 Whelen, OR
CZ 550 American / 9.3x62mm
11. CZ 550 American Safari Magnum / .458 Lott
12. Savage 12 BVSS 26" / .223 rem
13. Howa Thumbhole Varminter Supreme 26", Nutmeg/Blue / .243 Win
14. Air Force Talon SS PCP airgun / .177 pellet
15. Air Force Condor PCP Airgun / .22 pellet
16. Good Airsoft HK36 Replica gun / full-auto 6mm
17. Izhmash IZH35 / .22lr
18. Mauser - Czech (VZ24) / 8x57JS
19. Finnish Mosin/Nagant M39 / 7.62x54R
20. (another) P1917 Enfield / .30-'06 Spgfld
21. P1914 (?) Enfield / .303 Brit
22. Springfield M1903 / .30-'06
23. M1 Garand / .30-'06
24. Japanese Arisaka Type 99 / 7.7mm Jap
25. Swiss Scmidt-Rubin, model 1911 / 7.5x55mm

Would begin to border on impressive when combined with the already-have list.

Smith and Wesson SW99 in 45 ACP

Swiss K31 (waiting for the $60 special to appear again)

Garand from the CMP

870 special

Ruger 10/22

I've been eyeing a stainless 1991A1 that's in the case at my favorite shop for about a month now. I'm trying not to handle it as that would (unless it's really bad) guarantee my buying it. (Might have to be a "stealth" buy :eek:.)
Josh

1st gen model 70 Winchester in .22 Hornet 5 digit serial number made in 1939
at the local gun shop right now hope it sticks around until I can get the money together.

hmmm..

CZ97
Sig P220
AR15 (not sure about brand. I'm also considering building one)
M1 Garand
Fulton Armory M14

I'd also like to have a Springfield 1911 GI model.

Short barreled FAL with suppressor.

Short barreled shotgun, converted to mag fed. Two pistol grips, no stock.

Subgun.

My current list includes *any* blued smiths that i dont currently own at reasonable prices (particularly 3" mdl 13/19s, and 6.5" 29s and 6/4" 27s). And i have my eyes peeled for a nice CZ-SP01 as well but, i have yet to see one in person.

I also have a hankering for a second generation Detective Special. I dont really know what i would do with it, but i just want one so i can pretend that im in a pulp detective novel.

Right now my top ten list (based on realistic cost, not my fantasy list) is this (not really in order because the order is constantly changing):

1) Another S&W 57 .41mag.
2) A Taurus Tracker .41 mag
3) A .44mag (either S&W 29 or Taurus 44)
4) Another 3" K-frame
5) Another 1911 (probably a 4", an aluminum 1911, or one that is both)
6) A lightweight J-frame or Taurus equivelent
7) Another pistol caliber lever rifle (.357mag if I buy it before I buy a .44mag revolver, either caliber if after)
8) A Browning/FN Hi-Power (likely used instead of new)
9) Just today an N-frame .357 made the top-10 for the first time ever (I'd prefer a S&W 27 but with the price difference I'd probably go with a S&W 28)
10) A Kahr (since Kahr guns are expensive these days and funds are limited, probably either the E-series or a used K9, P9 or preferable PM9)

Guns that are so close to the top ten that on any given day they may replace one or two of the above are:
-A 6" .357mag K-frame or Taurus equivelent
-A big bruiser lever rifle- maybe 45-70 or .450Marlin, but more likely I'll wimp out and go with one of the big revolver calibers (.454 Casull or .480 Ruger) in the lever rifle
-Taurus Tracker in .45LC
-A used Taurus 431
-A Taurus 450 or 445
-A .22lr revolver
-A CZ 40B to replace the one I sold a couple years ago
-A nice Mosin-Negant (not the carbine)
-An M1 Carbine
-An M1 Garand
-A CZ lever rifle
-The titanium verson of the Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro or the single stack Taurus PT745 Millennium Pro

Basically, anything on the top-10 list or the runner-up list could end up my next gun depending upon what the local shops (or Gunbroker) has when I'm looking, and my mood at the time.

I'm looking for an inexpensive long gun for the trunk, perhaps a 1911A.

Also, perhaps I'd like to get into reloading, which means all the equipment.

Oh yes, lots of ammo

Ok. The short list of guns I keep going out and looking for, then talking myself out of buying when I actually find one I might be able to afford. Sooner or later, one at a time, I'll cave on all of them I'm sure. But ... at least the list is short. And, it's in no particular order - though the Kahr & AR do belong at the top.

* Kahr PM9
* AR 10 (flat top)
* SIG 226
* Kimber Pro Carry
* Springfield full size/loaded, black stainless
* 18", 12ga 'Street Sweeper' (generic - haven't picked one out yet)
* Makarov
* FN FAL

Reality is though, that odds are just as high as not that when I do have the cash, I'll come across something else I "need" also. :)

A colt-style 9mm. Its at the top of the list, has been for the past three or four guns I've purchased. I'll probably wind up getting two or three more before I get the AR.

At the moment I dont plan on buying any more until I can some of my current guns customized some.

However, a BHP, Sig P220, and a SA 9mm 1911 come to mind.

Of course, I'm too poort to even thing about these for now, but I plan on bying the XD by Christmas, and maybe the SAR1 as a birthday present (next spring).

I've got all I need

and may even be selling a few to trim the fat, so to speak.

The next purchases will be probably be suppressors, and will probably be years away . . . enough time to take it to the next level! :evil:

They probably won't show up for another year, but...

1) A widebody 1911 .45ACP with the guts tarted up to take .45 Super.

2) A mid-sized Glock or Sig in 9mm to expand out my IDPA fun (currently only shooting in CDP, I'd like to shoot in SSP as well)

3) IDPA-legal S&W Model 625 .45ACP
