SOG return Question

I purchased a Yugo TT from SOG and had it sent to my FFL. After i picked it up, i noticed that the after market add on safety did not work. I called SOG about a return and told me, my FFL would have to call for a RA number.

My FFL called for a number and i elected to have him send it back, since he could ship it USPS. It would cost me a lot more to send it back Next day air UPS or FEDEX.

I just got the New pistol in today. My FFL charged me a for XFR of the old pistol to SOG and another XFR of the new pistol, plus $7 shipping. So it cost me another $37 to get a replacement pistol.

I am thinking of calling SOG and asking for a refund of $37 to cover my costs. I had thought about keeping the pistol, but didn't want any problems selling the pistol, with a malfunctioning safety. Trying to cover my butt.

Do you think it fair to ask for a refund?

Because you purchased the gun in good faith that it wouldn't suck. Of course, they may not give it to you, but it will let you know who you are dealing with. I'm sorta going through a situation like this with Taurus (see my thread) so I understand.
