the difference in a 10.5 or better an 11.5" barrel and an (ugh) 7" is night and day ! Both in blast and performance. I bought a Noveske diplomat upper many years back when they first came out thinking how great it would be on my Calif Pistol registered Oly lower . It was too much even for me, with debris in the face from the then (before the flaming pig) muzzle attachments. When I chronographed it I remember why Remington went to the shortened .221 FIREBALL case in the 10" barreled XP100 and I was warned by Remington and the local gunsmiths not to rechamber to .223 (be cause I had unlimited free ammo in the reserves) in the middle 70s. I had turned the AR into a .22 Hornet basically. So I put a Colt 10.5" barrel on that diplomat upper and today , in Oregon and with a brace on a Noveske Lower , it is my favorite PDW . I picked up about 500 fps in 3 " longer barrel and yes it does have a Flaming Pig on it which tames the blast pretty well . FWIW 8" barrels do work ok with .300 BO , as minimal !

That didn't take long. I ordered a stripped upper, handguard and everything else to put together an upper for one of my pistol lowers last night. This is a disease I never expected to catch.

As a side note, I have a .36cal suppressor (Omega 36M) on the way that will be dedicated to my AR's and anything else I can put an ASR mount on. I've had a Hybrid in NFA jail for two years now and asked them to look for a couple of Oculus .22 cans. I'll start the paperwork once they all show up.

I shot it side by side with my 8.5" .300Blk without the suppressor and the difference was huge.

Put mine together this afternoon with an MI 9" free float tube, AR Stoner upper and slapped it on my .300BLK's pistol lower with a SIG Romeo6. You were right, the 10.5" barrel makes a huge difference in muzzle blast. Comes in at 6lbs 6oz with the red dot. I think my 7.5" Saint might become something other than a 5.56.

Me too! Think I've got three or four of them now. Their 10/22 chassis looks good and I want to get one of their handguards when I get a Henry X model as well. Lots of good stuff!
