Soliciting ideas for a T-shirt (gun related)

Here are a few of my favorite gun-related photos. Most of these are probably too busy, but just enjoy those for what they are.

I think this one, on a red shirt apparently, is simple and humorous.

You can figure out the title. It would be best left blank however.

I have some others that I really like that would work, but they're on my PC, can't find them online.

I, of course, don't OWN any of these, so enjoy them, and do what you will, as long as you have permission.

1. Molon Labe

Two lines, large letters, on the chest--in the greek text: ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
With a small text credit, saying something "Oleg Volk, APS" or whatever....
<snip>
It's important to have these texts on the front, for us old farts who habitually wear vests, or jackets, or sports coats.

Available in long sleeve, and LONG sizes.

That's the one I'd buy.
Black tee, white or gold text.
Maybe "Thehighroad.org" underneath the greek?
Text on the front, if I happen to be carrying, (and I usually am), I'll have on a vest or jacket.
I like short sleeves better, but it doesn't matter a whole lot.
Tall sizes would be nice too

What about famous sayings?

"There are only two things we should fight for. One is the defense of our homes, and the other is the Bill of Rights."
Major General Smedley Butler, US Marine Corps 1930

If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared.
Niccolo Machiavelli (1469 - 1527)

"Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names."
John F. Kennedy

"Don't hit at all if it can be avoided, but never hit softly."
Theodore Roosevelt

"Quemadmodum gladius neminem occidit, occidentis telum est."
Latin: "A sword never kills anybody; it is a tool in the killer's hand."
Seneca

"Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once."
William Shakespeare from Julius Caesar

When the World is at Peace, a gentleman keeps his Sword by his side.
Wu Tsu

"Mankind censures injustice, fearing that they may be victims of it and not because they shrink from committing it." Plato

"If all the world were just, there would be no need of valor." –Plutarch

“… As though peace were something you could place in a metal box and guard. In reality it was the other way ‘round, War was the Animal you kept in a cage and then released when the time was suited.” -Tom Clancy The Bear and the Dragon

Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.

Assault is a behavior, not a device.

64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.

....I think that's it.

I can do it 25 times in a row, using 8 different positions.

*grin*
Old old Skeet Shooters expression.

Now we did these on shirts, hats, bandannas, buttons and stickers, and there was no shotgun, no clay target, nothing to hint that saying had anything to do with guns.

Some of these were nice T shirts, with a pocket, some were Tie-Dye, and really showed under black light, some were oxford, and just a small saying on or just above the pocket.

Trust me, folks will run into closed doors, turn in disgust and walk smack dab into end aisle at the grocery store, start punching elevators and get out, on the wrong floor, to get away from someone wearing a shirt like that.

I like the time the nosy old broad asked one of the 9 year olds what her T shirt said...
I never knew blue haired old bitty's in a Sunday School Class at a fast food joint could carry on like that as they hurried up and left the joint.

Talk about clearing a joint! *lol*

We did some with a clay being dusted, showing the muzzle end of a shotgun, still by far, the best was just the expression and having folks minds "go there".

*evil smirk*

I'd love a fairly simple ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ, black tee white letters shirt.

some of my own designs (not sure about trademark infringement, though)

I'm not much of a t-shirt with messages guy but I'd take one with ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ written on the front top corner and " b/c lex and concord weren't won with tasers and pepper spray". I really really like that phrase.

SM, from a fellow skeet shooter that's a great one. I'd like to see some of these for sale to everyone!

Who is your intended audience and what message are you trying to convey? Are you trying to persuade antis and fence-sitters, or are you trying to entertain other gun owners?

If you're going for persuasion, how about this:

The police failed to protect 11,000 people
from being murdered in 2007.

Who are you counting on to protect you?

They're not just for criminals anymore

Some great ideas here

One thing I'm picking up on (through post's and PMs) is that a lot of people would like a ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ shirt.

So, for our first collaborative design, lets say we'll do a black shirt with ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ on the back in huge white Greek letters. What do you all want on the front?

As for the other ideas, I really do like them, but i would like to start with shirts that either pursuade fence sitters or make anti's eat their words (ie. the lexington and concorde line, or the 69,904,090 gun owners killed no one line)

I think these would help our cause, and rather than scaring fence sitters away, it might make them think.... do you agree?

I'm also thinking as a future project of printing up all the "only funny to us gunnies" ideas for gun shows. Just a thought. But for right now, I'd like to stick to the "advancing pro-gun" ideas.

I like the lexington and concorde line because it makes people eat their words, but more importantly paints a picture that people can see, relate to, is slightly comical, and not aggressiveIts not like some pro-gun shirts which say aggressive things or have aggressive pictures that turn anti's off or intimidate them. This one does make you use common sense. What would the colonials been able to do with tasers and OC? Thank God for guns

Savetheclaypidgeons - I completely agree with you. With this year being the "Heller" decision and election time, i want something that people can wear around town to help make fence sitters think, logically.

There are several funny ideas I'd like to print up as well (range or hunting shirts), but for this first run I'd like it to mean something.
