Finally got to the range to test some loads using H335--my favorite powder for my .308. My K-31 seems to like it, too.

Details:
.284 Win brass
Win primers
Speer 150gr. Hot Cor (a relatively inexpensive bullet)
H335 powder
OAL 2.88 (this is right off the lands in my rifle)

Charges & velocities:
-42 gr. H335 velocites ran 2547 to 2574
-43gr ran 2770 to 2815
-44gr ran 2804 to 2939

43 gr.was most accurate. Group sizes:

100 yards 2 best were the same: 1.3"
200 yards 2 best were 1.6" (3 shot group) and 2.15 (4 shot group).

An equally accurate load was 42.8 gr. IMR 4094, using CCI 200 primers. Everything else the same.

And just for grins, here's a light load it seems to like.

-Same cases
-100gr. Speer "plinker" bullet.
-27gr. H4198
-Speer 200 primer

Velocities for this are about 2,200 fps. A little hotter than .30 carbine. Recoil is very mild, as you would expect. Accuracy is on par with the above. POI is about 1-2" lower than the full-power loads at 100 yards. Didn't try it at 200.

The rifle wears a 2.5X NCStar scope in a Darrel's scout mount, but is otherwise unaltered.
