My first foray into concealment holsters and first finished project in shark skin. Holster is inspired by the Desantis Mini-Scabbard that I've grown quite fond of. I rounded the toe on the prototype but somehow forgot to on this one. It's also the 3rd finished project that I've done on the new stitching machine. That's right, no longer hand stitching everything. Only the period pieces that require it from now on. There's definitely a learning curve in producing a proper stitch on the machine but it opens a lot more possibilities in doing double thickness belts, linings and exotic overlays. Which reminds me, I also finished my first period rawhide knife sheath recently and need to get some good pics of it too.

Which machine are you on? I have a 4500 and an old Tippman Boss (if I can call that a "machine"). I keep telling myself I should sell both, since I do more of my stitching on a vintage Singer treadle these days, but the automation on the 4500 is a sight!

Looks very classy, like something you would have for more "formal" occasions! I'm also a big fan of a lot of DeSantis's holster designs.

Call me old fashioned if you will, I still prefer cowhide leather over the exotics. And I seem to be more drawn to smooth leather than carved or stamped.

Maybe a holdover from spit-shined combat boots?

Thanks folks, I'll respond more thoroughly when I'm off the road.

I got the 4500 as well. So far I'm impressed with it.

With a new monitor I can now see the Graveyard jack logo. I thought the link in your sig-line was for a cowboy action type organization. I must now place many orders. Those are very nice holsters!
