I'm always amazed at the perceived power of the NRA. If the NRA could actually do this kind of thing it would be done already.
Agreed! Turn the question around and ask, "what can
I do about this?" Call your elected officials, write to them, get your fellow shooters organized to demand legislative changes.
If you're surprised or apalled at the unfairness of magazine capacity laws as they differ from state to state, you have an AWFUL LOT to learn about the myriad unfair, unjust, illogical, absurd, and unconstitutional anti-gun laws with which the "free" people of this counry are burdened. Find a comfortable chair -- there's somewhere around 80,000 of them.
Seriously, if you've not faced these issues before, go to
www.nra-ila.org and click on the "gun laws" link at the top. Then take 5 minutes to read the fact sheets on NJ, MD, CA, HI, MA, and IL, for starters. And for the gold star, try to wrap your head around the laws that apply in our nation's capitol! After that, if you don't feel like your blood's about to boil, check your pulse!
Magazine capacity restrictions are annoying and, IMHO, unconstitutional -- but we (as a nation) accept
far worse in a lot of parts of the country.
What is the NRA going to do about it? What are YOU?
