Some suggestions please on a carry gun

I know i want a semi auto, i want either a compact or sub compact, i dont have a very large budget (around 500.00). I am interested in the Browning Pro 40, The Taurus Millenium and i have heard that Rugers are great guns for the money, very reliable but i cant find a compact Ruger - does one exist? Also, i have heard the Beretta Bandit is a nice gun but cant find it on their website to read up on.

Ruger LCP

Get a ruger LCP. Small, compact, thin, and pretty cheap. Should be out in the middle of next month. I plan on getting one for carry too.

I just looked it up, nice looking gun but i was hoping for something in a 40 or at least a 9MM - is 380 the only caliber they are coming out with?

Take a look at the kahr CW9. I just picked this up from the gun show and its a sweat little pistol. I had a bersa ultra compact and that was nice but it was too big for me to carry. Kahrs are well made and the cw9 is pretty nicely priced.

The CZ75 compact and 2075 RAMI (a subcompact) are at or under budget. The S&W M&P compact and Glock 19 or 26 can be had for around that if you shop around.

Another vote for the Kahr CW-9; priced right a'round $400, its a fine
defensive handgun~!

Another vote for Kahr as the CW9, CW40, and the new CW45 all fall within your budget. I have 3 Kahrs and they're all keepers...

I was just in the same boat, but luckily a Beretta fell in my lap. Before I got the Beretta, I was ready to pull the trigger on the CZ Compact. I'm not promoting Bud's, it's just where I was looking.

I carry a Kahr CW9. It is thin and not to bad to shoot. I did have some accuracy problems but Kahr replaced the barrel and it's a keeper now

Another vote for the CZ 75 Compact .40 S&W
Lots of great features:
* All Steel construction
* DA 1rst shot -or- Condition One Cocked & Locked
* Trigger is similiar to 1911 "stirrup" - tuneable
* No magazine disconnect
* SLide sits inside the frame said to aid accuracy
which this pistol has a good reputation
* .40 S&W has Ambi safety

I handled a CZ Compact and a 75B last saturday.
I liked the shape of the grip and the DA trigger was
smoother/linear than some DA Semi-AUtos I've handled
& shot. HOwever the grip on the compact is short
and my little finger was hanging in the breez, as well as
the slide release seemed less prominent to gain purchase
whereas the 75B did seem just a bit smaller than my 1911
as well as almost Commander in size to me.

Another feature of the CZ 75s is the Kadet .22 LR Conversion
kit is available and will fit all 75s as well as the 85s. You could
get that some time in the future for an economical option for
the range or plinking.

I'd vote a Springfield XD sub compact, in 9mm or 40.

The Springfield XD-9 sub compact is not as slim as I like but it is the best shooting gun I own.
